Leafs are 5-13 on home ice, and 9-6 as the visitor since Keefe took over. Keefe has always made it a point to try and get Matthews away from other teams top lines on home ice with last change.
Matthews isn't like McDavid/Kucherov where they can put up points at will, but are bad defensively. Matthews is arguably the best 2-way player in the league, and a generational goal scorer. The team is at its best when he plays the other teams best lines. Why? Even if Matthews doesn't score, he's elite defensively and will typically not allow the other team to score when he's on the ice.

Looking back over the past few years there are some big moments in huge games when there are blatant penalties that go uncalled against the leafs. Last night was another example of this with Marchand tripping Bertuzzi and that led to a goal. I’d also argue an interference call on the empty netter on Marchand as well. Canadiens fan with a diehard Leafs buddy. I’m a student so getting Leafs tickets isn’t attainable, but does anyone have an extra Leafs towel that I could purchase or something?

I'm watching Tampa v Florida and they have Kucherov at the top of the slot. It looks like if you have your best shooter in that position it draws the swamp of defenders away from the net and then the wings can do some work in tight. Do y'all think that would work? I'm asking for an opinion, not whether or not the coaches will actually set it up that way.
