And so we’ve reached the end. Good luck to all this weekend, and I hope that these daily PoD posts have made some of your pitching decisions a little easier.
SATURDAY
McCullers @ Pomeranz: I’ll pass on McCullers here. Pomeranz a little risky but I’m willing to take a chance on him.
Stroman @ Sabathia
Stephens @ Lester: Very disappointing season for Lester.
Chacin @ Cain: Chacin is 3–1 with a 2.83 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP in five starts versus the Giants this year.
Guerra @ Weaver: Sticking with Weaver.
Castro @ Archer: Archer limping to the finish line.

Which rookies made the biggest fantasy impact this season? Hot off the press, here’s my All-Rookie Team article.
Due to space constraints, only one starting pitcher, Luis Castillo, was discussed in the article. But fear not. Below are four more starting pitchers to fill out the rotation. All stats are accurate as of Wednesday morning.
Jordan Montgomery: Named the Yankees’ fifth starter following an impressive spring training, Montgomery has turned in a steady rookie campaign, posting a 3.96 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP and a 8.5 K/9 rate in 28 starts. The fact that Montgomery’s second-half ERA (4.45 ..read more

Time for the penultimate PoD installment of 2017.
Biagini @ Tanaka: Tanaka has struggled versus the Blue Jays this season (5.48 ERA in four starts) and he’s simply too hard to trust.
Stephenson @ Quintana
Harvey @ Lively
G. Cole @ Strasburg: I wouldn’t blame you for benching Cole though.
Gohara @ Straily: Straily coming off impressive performance in dangerous road matchup against the Diamondbacks.
Miley @ Odorizzi: Playing it safe with Odorizzi even though he’s pitching well right now.
Pelfrey @ Bauer: Bauer is 9–2 with a 3.13 ERA in 14 games (13 starts) since th ..read more

Why is Eduardo Rodriguez owned in only 51% of ESPN leagues and 56% of Yahoo leagues? Beats me.
Big Erv @ Carrasco
Romano @ Suter: Suter a borderline call but he’s struggled versus the Reds this season, registering a 6.43 ERA and a 1.57 WHIP in three games (one start).
Nova @ Jackson: Taking the conservative route with Nova in tough matchup.
Faria @ S. Gray: Faria a little too risky here.
Teheran @ Peters: Teheran boasts a 3.05 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP in 10 starts since the beginning of August.
Peacock @ E. Rodriguez: Challenging matchup for Rodriguez but he’s pitched ..read more

Considering his excellent pitching of late, there’s little chance that Marco Estrada is available in your league, right? Not really. Surprisingly enough, Estrada’s ownership percentage stands at just 56% in ESPN leagues and 61% in Yahoo leagues.
Verlander @ N. Martinez
Conley @ J. Gray: Conley at Coors? No thanks.
E. Ramirez @ Graveman: Ramirez has notched seven quality starts in his last eight tries. Playing it safe with Graveman in 12-team mixed leagues.
Samardzija @ Shipley: Dangerous matchup for Samardzija though. If you’re in a close ERA race, it’s fine to bench  ..read more

And so we’ve arrived at the final Tuesday PoD of the 2017 season.
Gausman @ T. Williams: Four of Gausman’s last five starts have been dominant. Williams a little too risky here.
Snell @ J. Montgomery: Snell a decent deep-league option as he’s actually enjoyed success against the Yankees this year (2.40 ERA in three starts).
G. Gonzalez @ Thompson: Scary matchup for the inconsistent Thompson.
Dickey @ Montero
Colon @ Tomlin: Tomlin pitching well lately but I don’t trust him.
Happ @ Sale
McGuire @ Davies
Keuchel @ Hamels
Bridwell @ Volstad: Playing it saf ..read more

On any given day, there are plenty of difficult PoD decisions. And then there’s the case of Jhoulys Chacin.

Hendricks @ Suter: Tough matchup for Suter. I’d only pitch him in deeper leagues.
B. Norris @ Morton
S. Gray @ Biagini
E. Rodriguez @ Stephenson: Rodriguez sports a 2.55 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP through three September starts.
Carrasco @ A. Moore
Big Erv @ Boyd
Lynn @ G. Cole

And so we have come to the final two-start pitcher article of 2017. Enjoy.
For owners in weekly leagues, two-start pitchers are a key to maximizing wins and strikeouts. And oftentimes — perhaps more often than you’d think — they can be found on waivers or even your bench.
Let’s take a look at the top two-start options heading into Week 26 of the fantasy baseball season.
Andrew Cashner | Rangers | vs. Astros and vs. Athletics
Having notched four quality starts over his last five outings, Cashner might seem like a no-brainer for next week. Still, some owners will be hesitant to s ..read more

Although 2017 has been a frustrating season for John Lackey and his fantasy owners, he’s pitched just well enough to maintain mixed league relevance.
Wacha @ Nova: Nova a toss-up right now. I’ll pass.
Cobb @ Jimenez: Tough matchup for Cobb but I think he’s up for the challenge.
Tanaka @ Estrada: Not overly confident in either though.
Porcello @ Romano: Porcello cannot be trusted.
Gibson @ D. Norris
Jackson @ Gsellman: After a hot start, Jackson is really struggling lately.
Lackey @ Woodruff: Lackey sports a solid 3.79 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with just under a strikeout per innin ..read more

Midway through last season, Danny Salazar was approaching fantasy ace status. But between health issues and inconsistent performance, things haven’t gone as planned. Still, don’t lose faith in him. Looking ahead to 2018 drafts, Salazar offers major profit potential.
Maeda @ Leiter: Dangerous matchup for Leiter.
Salazar @ Bridwell: Salazar a little risky but the Angels rank in the bottom third of the Majors in runs scored, batting average, OPS and homers. Playing it safe with Bridwell in tough matchup.
Andriese @ Ynoa
Vargas @ Happ: Vargas cannot be trusted.
