Ran into this pup when I was waiting in line for a chocolate festival in Golden Gate Park.Gotta be some golden retriever in there, along with corgi. Plus… maybe something else ..read more

Chester and Fitzie are brothers, and they’re both 11 months old, so still technically kittens. And yet somehow they are totally calm and cheerful and okay with hanging out outside and saying hi to folks. I hear there’s some leash training going on too, but I’m not sure how it’s going so far. Chester is the one in the yellow harness.Totally calm, even when a little kid came up and asked to pet them ..read more

Dog of the Day: Voltaire the (Girl) Pomeranian
The Dogs Of San Francisco

Voltaire’s folks decided they loved the name, and it’s not like there’re a whole lot of people named Voltaire out there, male or female. So let’s hear it for this fifteen-year-old pup! My brain has definitely not been behaving itself for the past couple weeks. Very strange time. Very strange brain, too… but you knew that, if you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time. Pomeranians are a funny kind of small dog. They’re kind of like samoyeds, size times 0.5, speed times 2 ..read more

Dog of the Day: Maya the Chihuahua
The Dogs Of San Francisco
by Adam Lang
1M ago
Maya is an 8-year-old blue merle Chihuahua I ran into today in the Santa Cruz Mountains. My team from work rented an AirBNB down here for a team offsite last night and tonight, and went for a rather nice hike (1200+ foot vertical climb and drop, 6+ miles round trip). There were very few dogs, but the ones we did see were extra cute. He’s missing a couple of teeth, which explains the slightly goofy expression ..read more
