So my family and I took a family trip to my mum's hometown last week and I've figured I needed to bring some beauty essentials for 6-hour long drive. Other than some sheet masks, no-rinse makeup removers and facial mists, I also packed my current favourite sunscreen and it's this Dr. Jart+Every Sun Day™️ Sun Fluid SPF50+. I love that this sunscreen is watery and lightweight therefore easy to reapply. Never skip your sunscreens, okay!   ..read more

How was your weekend? It was all red and hearts at the mall yesterday which I've found to be weird for like a second there as I was picking up my flower reservation. It was Valentine's Day yesterday and I totally forgot about that.  Anyway, things are quite busy even though I'm working from home so I was hoping to clear out some stuffs this week so I can take some photos to be shared on my Instagram. It has been months but I seriously don't know why I still can't keep up with my schedule ??? I hope you are having better Mondays out there so I'll be seeing you guys on my next ..read more

When we first start wearing glasses, most of us dream of the day that we can finally get rid of them. Perhaps you hate having those large frames on your face or maybe you’re just tired of maintaining them and keeping them clean. Perhaps you’ve considered laser eye surgery as a long-term solution to correct your vision, or maybe you’re interested in a number of other surgeries that can help you get rid of your glasses. Regardless of your circumstances, perhaps the most common and effective way to be free of your glasses is to wear contact lenses. However, there are a surprising number o ..read more

Two weeks into MCO, how are you guys doing? I've been going at my emptied products; cleaning them, organising them and running around my apartment looking for more. Obviously running out of things to do so here's my beauty empties for the past quarter of 2020! Using more and more quite intense anti-bacterial soaps so I'm upping my body lotion game to avoid dehydration. I guess that's all from me and I'll be seeing you guys on my next Empties post! Take care and stay at home ..read more

Upon entering my 30s, I had to give away many of my skincare products especially those for sebum controlling as my skin had transitioned to a much drier side. While my skin feels normal on my best skin days, my T-zone is no longer feels oily.  With the changes, the first type of product that I switch out with dry skin-compatible product is facial cleanser. While I can still use all of my first cleansers which are mostly oil-based cleansers, I can no longer use harsh, high pH water-based cleansers that contain alcohol and sodium lauryl sulfate; at least not when these two drying ing ..read more

Whenever I pick up a series on Netflix, aside from taking a virtual vacation in England during the 15th century with monsters and witches or watching a group of young adults dressing in battle gear fighting demons; I also really enjoy looking at their costumes and makeup so much I often search for YouTube tutorials on it. With product placements all over these series, I recently discovered a line of lipstick from NYX Professional Makeup that was worn by one of the cast so I picked up several off Hermo and I’m already planning to get several more as it is considerably affordable! Review | SKIN1004 Cocoon Soap Mask
MYRA BEAUTY DIARY

As I have previously reviewed a product from the SKIN1004, I want to share another one that has kept me interesting onto their brand which is this wash-off mask in the form of a soap and it is actually made with cocoon extract. If you are not familiar with what cocoon extracts are good for, apparently it is featured in many pore-tightening and clarifying sheet masks with some even claim to give a firming effect on skin. Now, firming one’s skin might sounds a bit over the top but clearing the pores out of impurities without drying out the skin is something that I’m looking for. Clay and c ..read more

As a skincare enthusiast, I’m pretty sure that I love trying new beauty products! But as much as I want to try different skincare trends as frequently as a fashionista changes her wardrobe, my skin cannot or simply is no longer capable of tolerating harsh ingredients and rapid product changes.  That said, that’s not necessarily the end all or for all types of products because I do still love trying different makeup removers and facial cleansers. However, I do have several go-to cleansers when trying new product so I don’t worry if the cleanser I’m testing doesn’t turn out as great as ..read more

SKIN 1004 or as any South Korean would refer to as ‘SKIN Angel’ is a considerably new brand in the K-beauty market as they emerged sometime last year or the year before. Lots of skincare enthusiasts with sensitive skin are big on Centella Asiatica (locally known as pegaga)-based products and the star product of the brand is their Madagascar Centella Asiatica 100 Ampoule which I’m personally a big fan of! If you have been following the brand then you would probably noticed that the brand had a major rebranding as they changed or starting to change some of their skincare products packaging ..read more

Ever since I started practicing 10-step Korean skincare routine over 6 years ago, I always apply sunscreen as the last step of my skincare routine in the mornings. I might skip some products like eye cream or emulsion for my shortcut routines with a combination of deep cleansing, toning and moisturising but sun protection is not something I am willing to ignore. I would apply my favourite tone-up sunscreens with some translucent powder on top and head out to work on my super lazy days but on regular days when I apply foundations, I prefer to use hydrating sunscreens. I’d use either physica ..read more
