My cup refuses to go in no matter what!

I am 16 and recently got a menstrual cup in size small (it is from the brand saalt, if that matters) and I’ve tried for like an hour today to get it in! I’m so tired! I’ve been searching up solutions a lot and everyone says to lubricate it and to make sure to push it in the correct direction, and i have been doing both of those things. I’ve used tampons many times before, so I’m familiar with the proper direction. I struggle to keep the damn thing folded, it pops open as soon as i get the rim in! I’ve tried putting my fingers in with it to keep it closed but… i think my hole is just too small ..read more

Hello! Very new user here and so glad to see this community because i had no idea who to ask about this. This is my second cycle using the lunette menstrual cup but on my last one i got a yeast infection and i have no idea why. I boiled the cup and bought a cleanser that i use every time i take it out and re-insert but today i took out the cup and found strange brownish gunk on the outside (sorry for the tmi!) I don't know if this is the beginning of another yeast infection, i hope not because i really want to stick with using my cup but if it keeps causing infections then i won't be able to ..read more

So it has been a VERY long time since I've posted here. A lot has changed in the last 10 years since my first posting of trying to get my menstral cup in and failing because of the pain of getting it in and out. I'll give a run-down. No longer a Vergin, Marryied and one child. I recently went through some of my things in the closet and came across my Small Lunette Cup and for the S and G's I tried putting it in. (On a cycle currently) and it actually went in fine no pain to speak of which is great. However, I felt it inside, I doubt I had it in far enough but I felt some pressure when I tried ..read more

Menstrual cup made me have strange discharge?

Before I get any weird looks, let me explain. So, for starters: I'm fourteen. I'm not sure if this is innappropriate to say here, but from a completely neutral perspective I'm aware that right now is when hormones truly kick in and you start having more sexual inhibitions. I've masturbated before, all that. But I've been using the cup for a few months now and this has never happened before, when using the cup or masturbating. I woke up very acutely aware of where the cup was, and all day have been experiencing a strange discomfort. I was pretty sure it was arousal, so I just carried on withou ..read more

Hi all, I had a very eventful morning this morning and had to go to the doctors to remove my cup. My vagina is quite sore (understandably) but I want to use it again. ATM I'm using a pad but I'm wondering when I should try again? I want to do it again so I don't scare my body/mind away from it.  P.S I'm on birth control so I only have my period every three months, I'd like to do it before my cycle finishes and I have about 3 days left.  ..read more

Hi, I just finished my first cycle with the Meluna classic XL shorty, and I liked it except for it's still too long for my low cervix. I don't think I want to try to cut the ball stem off, and from the actual Meluna website, they have the stemless (aka basic) in their chart, but I don't think they sell them in the US, and Meluna isn't shipping from Germany since Covid. If I can't get a stemless shorty, does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks. - Stephanie ..read more

Flex Cup Slim

I bought my Flex Cup, back in July. It is a cup that has a special drawstring that can be pulled, to collapse the cup from the inside. I'm sure some of you might have seen it in CVS, or in advertisement. I bought mine off Amazon. Anyway, I really liked how comfortable the cup is, but it broke on me today. The end loop tore in half as I was pulling down on it. I then had to fish the cup out with my fingers. What happens then is that I can't really cut the useless part off, because then I'm left with a big hole at the bottom of the cup. (I hope everyone can see the pic. I'm not on here often a ..read more

HELP!! I can't get my menstrual cup to open

I am a 17 year old, active tampon user and i recently bought a 25ml menstrual cup. I have been practicing some dry runs before my period but ran into some problems. I can get the cup in without a hitch but after it's in it will not pop open and instead just collapse in on itself. I have tried the labia fold, punch down fold, and ⁷/triangle fold and none of these pop open. I have tried every trick that i have read, relaxing my vagina, pushing it in and out, squeezing it, twisting it even tried to get it to manually open! None of these worked. I really want my menstrual cup to work out and ..read more

Found 'the one'

So I found a cup online a few months back and like all my other cups, I thought I can only really judge after a couple of cycles due to my insides being different with every other cycle. I've had many issues in the past with cups that are too hard or too flimsy. I've had a very sore vagina to the point I felt like putting cups to rest. Leaking has also been a major issue for me as I can't just leave my class to run to the bathroom as I'm a teacher. I read another forum online where another lady left her review of the cup I bought from Women Comforts. The thing that stood out for me was the ..read more
