Laax, or Flims-Laax-Falera, is one of Switzerland’s biggest and best ski resorts. The ski area may have made its name in recent years for its massive parks and contests, but its history is steeped in classic downhill skiing. Along the way, it never lost its roots and still makes for a wonderful ski destination in Switzerland.
It has tremendous facilities, reliable snow, a wide variety of terrain, and, of course, one of the best snowparks in the world. Laax is cool and well-known for being the playground of snowboarders and freestyle skiers. Its villages have something for everyone, though, wit ..read more

Saalbach has won awards as the best ski resort in Europe several times, and after our trip through the Alps, it’s easy to see why it’s loved. The Skicircus Saalbach has something to offer everyone with its extensive lift infrastructure and variety of terrain. However, it’s not just the ski and size that impress, but the quality of the experience with brand new lifts, cozy resort villages, and no shortage of unique mountain huts.
With 270 kilometers of piste, 70 lifts, and 60 mountain huts, the stats speak for themselves. It’d be tough to run out of new areas or runs to explore. However, the mo ..read more

Paro Taktshang, more commonly called Tiger’s Nest, is the picture-perfect image of Bhutan. While the monastery is easily the most popular thing to do in Bhutan and on every visitor’s bucket list, it doesn’t enjoy the instant recognition of other famous landmarks like Machu Picchu or the Eiffel Tower. It also isn’t as easily accessible as sites like the Colosseum or the Pyramids, as reaching Tiger’s Nest requires a two-hour hike, but it’s well worth it and completely doable for most.
Our day hiking to Tiger’s Nest was one of our favorites out of our entire ten days in Bhutan. Once in the Monast ..read more

Arguably one of the most serene and picturesque beaches on earth, Navagio, or Shipwreck Beach, as it is popularly called, is one of the most beautiful destinations I have ever been to.
Located on the northwest coast of the Greek island Zakynthos, this hidden beach sits inside a cove surrounded by towering white limestone cliffs and overlooking turquoise-blue ocean waters. It is here, on the sandy beach, where you will find the rusted remains of an old shipwreck.
It is simply a magical place and a spot where you can easily take Insta-worthy pictures with every snap! It’s easily the best thing t ..read more

The Blue Ridge Parkway is known as “America’s favorite drive,” and we can attest to that! It’s 469 miles in total, starting with the stunning Shenandoah National Park and ending with the gorgeous Great Smoky Mountains.
The Blue Ridge Parkway runs through 29 counties in both Virginia and North Carolina. Amidst them, there are countless breathtaking and thrilling stops to appreciate the charm of small-town life and its surrounding scenery.
Regulations like a speed limit of 45 miles per hour, two lanes, and the ban of any large trucking vehicles help to make this drive an even more delightful and ..read more

In the heart of the Himalayas lies a kingdom shrouded in mystique and charm. Referred to as the “Land of the Thunder Dragon,” this small nation has captivated the world with its unique blend of tradition, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. As such a unique place, there are plenty of fun facts about Bhutan to learn about.
For instance, there are no traffic lights in the country, just traffic directors, and there is a mythical animal in Bhutan – called the Takin. But perhaps one of the most interesting Bhutan facts is that it has become a shining example of environmental stewardship by declar ..read more

Nestled between India and Tibet, the small Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan has remained largely unnoticed by mainstream tourism for many years.
Instead of embracing a tourism industry that might erode local culture to cater to foreign preferences, Bhutan has carefully designed its approach to tourism development, aiming to engage visitors in the rich tapestry of the country’s culture and traditions through a profound cultural exchange.
Because of this, Bhutan was high on our dream destination list. I knew I had to get there before I died. With the world open up we figured there was no time like th ..read more
