Happy Friday! May is cruising right along. This week was a good mix of work and fun. We even played hooky and took the boys into the city on Tuesday. We had wanted to go over the weekend, but the weather was pretty crummy. I’m glad we waited for a gorgeous day! The four of us strolled through the Museum of Natural History and Jack had the best time seeing the dinosaurs. Then we scooted over to Central Park for a hot dog picnic lunch and lots and lots of exploring. I relaunched my bookstagram! ONE // Hill House New Arrivals Hill House’s summer collection launched! EFFORTLESS TOPS

Effortless tops styled with jeans have been my go-to outfit most days this spring. I love a cute top that elevates jeans and makes me feel put together but still comfortable. This Doen top was a best seller for my IG last month, and I get questions about it every time I wear it! I first fell in love with it last summer and was so happy they brought it back this season. The breezy cut, gathered scope neckline, and delicate puff sleeves give it an effortless touch, and the subtle gingham print is gorgeous. If you’re curious about sizing, I would say it fits true to size, but ..read more

I actually couldn’t believe it was time for this post again… last week flew by! LAST WEEK’S WIN: The biggest win was probably that we had a few great nights of sleep! With an 11 week old and a toddler and a dog, this felt like a truly miraculous event. Everyone slept through the night I still feel exhausted, but it’s just regular mom tired, not mom with a newborn delirious tired. That’s a WIN. THIS WEEK’S GOAL: I’m excited for a good week at home. I want to turn my closet over, which is normally a day I really enjoy… this year? Not looking forward to it. But I’m trying to be optimist ..read more

WHAT I READ IN APRIL 2024

Kind of a terrible reading month for me in terms of amount. Between traveling, Rory waking up out of the newborn fog, and just life speeding back up, I haven’t had as much time. And I know it’s actually a time thing because I have removed and limited so many distractions on my phone so I know it’s not like I’m scrolling on TikTok for three hours instead of reading I just keep telling myself it’s a season of life… but I do miss being able to sit down and read uninterrupted for an hour. Sometimes it feels like all I’m reading is Paw Patrol books, haha. Here’s what I read in the month of Ap ..read more

NEW NEEDLEPOINT

It’s been a while since I shared good needlepoint finds. I’m currently working on Rory’s stocking and loving it. Though I do miss the quicker satisfaction of smaller projects. Another “problem” is that needlepoint designers keep releasing cuter and cuter things. I cannot stitch fast enough!!! Truly my wish list of canvases (and the accessories) grows by the day. We’ve had such a nice week here! Agreeable weather meant lots of time outside. (Mike has put in some good work in getting our backyard “ready” for the summer season– so I’m really looking forward to that.) Also, Rory is starting to “wake up” from the newborn stage and I’m at the very end of my fourth trimester, which is a relief all around. Just overall feeling happy and content. Here’s what has been on my radar this week: ONE // Dolls of Our Lives Reflection After fives years, a podcast I absolutely loved is going into retirement! WHAT I BOUGHT ON AMAZON IN APRIL

How is it May?! We had a great trip to Florida last month and got a little taste of summer that’s making me so excited for the official kickoff. April was also a great month for Amazon finds, and I have a feeling a handful of these products are going to make it on my favorites list for 2024. Here’s what I bought on Amazon in April: Solar Buddies Sunscreen Applicator // This sunscreen applicator is genius and makes the process so smooth, especially for toddlers who just want to get out there and play. I couldn’t believe how much easier it was to apply, and the cove ..read more

Another post with my outfits from the past week! LAST WEEK’S WIN: Our whole trip to Tampa last week was a win start to finish. We got lucky with two more super easy flights And then we just had so much fun while down there. Lots of fun in the sun! It was absolutely exhausting, in the best way possible. Rory was totally content to just hang out and chill and it was Jack who had the time of his life… whew! We packed in so many fun activities. THIS WEEK’S GOAL: I have a big shoot at our house that I’m excited about and I really want it to go well! It’s much trickier to execute these sorts of ..read more

LED LAMPS AND LAMPSHADES
Carly the Prepster

Rechargeable LED lamps have been taking over the internet and I finally jumped on the bandwagon and I’m so glad I did! These little lamps are fun. I originally purchased a couple for my office space and I ended up loving them so much that I bought another set for my house. Right now I have them in our dining room, but I bought them with the intention of using them for dining al fresco! There are tons of different price points for LED lamps that I’ve seen, I didn’t want to spend a ton and I have to tell you that I’ve been very impressed with the quality of these so far. A pack of two ..read more
