Hi all. I came over in 2019 on a youth mobility visa for 2 years. I then got granted a partnership visa which has carried me through until June this year. We got married last year in August and now my visa is up for renewal. I have been reading online and it looks like I need to apply for an extension on an FLR visa but I'm not sure. My goal is to go for ILR and then citizenship. I need another 2.5 years here to get ILR. I'm just not 100% sure on what visa I should be applying for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/donutyellsatnight [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi! I’m planning to apply for a spouse visa next week - moving to the UK from Sweden. I feel like we’re well prepared, we meet all requirements and been doing some research on how the application process will work. The only thing that I’m worried about is the actual payment/s. When do I pay the visa fee, the IHS fee and the priority - and how? Card? Bank transfer? To who? I also read a thread somewhere (can’t find it now) saying that the amounts are converted to USD while paying which ultimately lead to a higher GBP amount(??). We’re both working in Sweden atm, so our bank is obviously holdin ..read more

I am under the SOC 2020 occupation code 6133 dental nurses(which is an eligible code for healthcare visa). My employer has sent me a COS where the category says - skilled worker(new hires) defined. While filling out the application form, there was a question which asked. Are you eligible for the health and care visa? What should i select? (Also, are health and care COSs different)? submitted by /u/TipPsychological221 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello I (33M, British Citizen) applied for a spouse visa for my wife (27, Bangladesh), under the standard processing time (fast-track not available). The biometrics were completed around the 18th January, and the application was officially received (with notification) on the 25th of January. We're still waiting for a decision. There has been no contact so far. My lawyer told me to wait another 2-3 weeks for any updates. Then he advised to submit a pre-action protocol (legal challenge to the treasury solicitors) to inquire into the delay with legal actions (if necessary). My lawyer told me thi ..read more

Hi all, I'm getting married soon, and my soon-to-be wife and I plan to move to the UK right after our honeymoon. She holds a Canadian passport, while I'm a British citizen. We're considering applying for a family visa (while still in Canada) close to our wedding date. After the wedding and honeymoon, we intend to return to the UK, where she can get a visa over the counter upon arrival. Once a decision is made on her family visa application, we can travel to Canada to finalise the process and then return to the UK afterward. Our main concern is whether we risk facing issues at the UK border if ..read more

Hello everyone, I have a quick question regarding my salary, because I’m employed by the hour and I don’t always work the same hours my employer did not add a salary he just added how much I make per hour and bonus? Is that ok or should I write an approximate of what I make every month? Depending on the month it can be very different, so no month is ever the same unless I’m working full time. I’ve been to the UK many times, I own my own properties, my partner is writing me sponsor letter staying that I’ll be staying with him for 3 weeks, I think ir shouldn’t be a problem but I’m not sure. The new Brp was sent to my home address, but I have not starting with the new company because I decided to stay in my old job and we applied for another visa, and I requested the previous application to be canceled. Ways to stay in the UK without a passport?

I’m a Ukrainian currently in UK on a Ukrainian visa which expires in 2025. My passport expires shortly after that As of now, the only way to get a new Ukrainian passport is to physically go to Ukraine and apply. You would then get a new passport, but won’t be allowed to leave Ukraine due to being eligible for the draft In this case, do I have any hope of being able to stay in the UK any longer than my passport is valid for, or do I pretty much have no other choice than to go back home? submitted by /u/someonefromkabuki [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
