Hello! I am looking for help with finding award space to Taipei this summer. I am based in Chicago but am willing to book a relocating flight if there is business award space out of another city. I am also fine if there is a layover in another city. I am able to find some economy award space but would ideally like to fly in business to Asia.
Cc programs I have over 100k miles with: Chase & capital one
Travel dates: Anything in June-July Trip duration 10-14days
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did see some space on klm but the trade off there is flying 33hrs and their higher taxes ..read more

Trying to take advantage of the transfer bonus this month for virgin red. When I try to move points out of Cap One portal and they ask me to enter my Virgin Redembership # it does not accept it.
Ive made sure that the 10 digit number I enter matched my Virgin Red.
Anyone else have this issue?

If I go to google flights for cash and put in a starting point and destination it will give me the minimum price in cash on each day as a calendar. I'm using Point.me and for each day I have run the job, then do it for both round trip and one way. It takes forever to search. Is there a tool that I can put in starting point and destination and it will show me the lowest points to get from one place to another in a calendar format?

would like how to learn how to use award travels for my particular situation. done a few basic A->B transfers for flights on B, but never done a A -> B (transfer partner) for flights on C. not sure if that makes sense.
currently have around 40k MR points leftover, flying LAX to TPE. usually, it's about 30-35k points for an upgrade from premium economy to business on china airline one way.
is there a way to transfer the MR points so that i can use those points at china airline? whether that's getting the points into my china airline account, or using those points to offset the seat cost ..read more

Hello guys,
I have around 5000 miles in my flying blue account.
I want to purchase a ticket with KLM and use my miles. So, I want to combine cash and miles.
As far as I see, I can choose between “Book a flight“ and “Book with Miles“. I remember that I could use miles before but now there seems to be a limit of miles I have to use to purchase a ticket with miles and cash.
Is this new or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance.

It seems like most of us learned the award travel stuff from this subreddit and various blog posts. Maybe some Youtube/Tiktok.
What confuses you most about this space? What don't you understand.
I help a lot of my friends/family with bookings and generally just do it for them, but they're total noobs. What about people who have their toes dipped in but don't fully grasp it all? Would be interested to hear.

For context, this is a Japan question. I feel like I’ve done my best to go through the sub and do the research, but this would be my first redemption so I just want to confirm I’m thinking about this properly. I have the week of July fourth off, and while it doesn’t seem as consistent, I figured I would look into T-14 for J flights to Japan from west coast (pref SFO). I wanted to get some practice in before then and after doing some research my question is the below:
I saw that ANA had a devaluation making J round trip from SFO 105k points + fees. From reading, I can’t find anything on Virgin ..read more

I am asking here for advice on where to look, but very willing to accept suggestions for more appropriate subreddits to pose question, if this is not the right place for my question.
I need to book 2 RT tickets JFK to TYO (preferably HND) on a pretty inflexible schedule.
Two different outbound dates - same return.
Ticket 1 Departure 8/28 or 29 Return 9/10
Ticket 2 Departure 9/3 or 4 Return 9/10
Looking to fly Biz Class if possible, otherwise Econ+.
Our miles and rewards balances are zeroed out due to a recent death in family. This trip is for a wedding we have just been invited to. I won’t be ..read more

Im trying to book FCO-BCN, I have the volare card but no points yet (want to transfer) so when I search it only give me the price but no point because I don’t have enough.
Is there a way to know the amount of point I need? Or the availability? I have done this before but not with ITA
Any advice?
