Lufthansa will finally send ONE plane with the new Allegris premium cabin configuration into operation and the company held a press event this week ahead of the deployment on May 1st to Vancouver. The first (and only) Airbus A350 equipped with Allegris will fly from Munich to Vancouver, followed by Toronto as a second destination, which will be served alternately with Vancouver on selected flights. Venice City Council decided last year (read more here) that day visitors to Venice on select days in 2024 would need to pay a fee. Residents and visitors with accommodation in the Venice municipality would be exempt from it. The fee went into effect yesterday, and apparently, the entry area to Venice is heavily guarded to ensure that those who need to pay the 5 euro fee have done so.
