What is Green Infrastructure?
We have all noticed the effects of increased rainfall and flooding. Likewise, we are probably all familiar with ‘grey infrastructure,’ gutters, pipes, and tunnels that move stormwater to treatment plants or larger bodies of water. However, this aging infrastructure is decreasingly effective at managing more significant volumes of stormwater and is not sustainable or bolstering resilience.
So, what is green infrastructure? New Jersey’s Stormwater Management rules at N.J.A.C. 7:8-1.2 define ..read more

Sustainable Princeton Executive Director Christine Symington also questioned the Freedonia findings. “What is clear is that they don’t provide any research to support how they came to this conclusion,” she said, pointing out the biased funding source for the report. “When you see a report that is not backed up by any data, you should treat it with a lot of skepticism. It’s a suspicious report, just picking up and creating headlines and clicks, but there is no data behind this.”

The grid powers our homes, schools, facilities, and buildings and does this every minute of every day. However, it is quickly becoming outdated, not only because it was built decades ago and designed to receive power from energy sources like coal and natural gas but also because of the ever-growing demand for electricity.
How does it work?
The power grid has four major parts.  ..read more
