With the increase in ocean temperatures and the warm phase of the ENSO phenomenon, the necessary conditions have been created for the origin of the strongest hurricane ever recorded on the Pacific coast. In the pursuit of a shared vision, I embarked on a journey in December 2022 to weave the fabric of dreams that would manifest into the YouthMappers Bangladesh Summit 2023 – a dream that had taken root 365 days prior. Collaborating with Tasauf A Baki Billah, the Executive Director of Bangladesh Open Innovation Lab (BOIL), a local partner of YouthMappers, meticulous planning ensued. It was a great honor organizing the MAPPING FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLD WORKSHOP in Zimbabwe together with Dr. Prestige Tatenda Makanga, Dr. Robert Roth, and Dr. Britta Ricker ahead of the International Cartographic Association Conference 2023.
