Íf you retire from the Air Force with a 100% disability rating. The VA through Prudential insurance will match your active duty SGLI coverage. It's converted over to VGLI. You will receive 2 years of free VGLI post retirement or separation. At age 44, I workout 5 days a week for around 3 hours a day at VillaSport Athletic Club. I do 2 hours of total body weights weights and 50 minutes of cardio (elliptical and stationary bike). I just took a USAA medical exam since my free VGLI policy of 2 years expires in late June. Can anyone recommend a tried and true organization that successfully assists veterans with job placement? I retired about a year ago and had to take the first job that came along. I have over 20 years of experience, as a retired Warrant Officer. I now have the time to search for a position that corresponds with my skills and experience. I have an AAS degree, and I currently work as an Assistant Operations Mgr. Thank you. submitted by /u/LimpPrint7323 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

My husband has been out of the Marines for several years and he is finally going through the process of getting involved with the VA. He served 15 years. He got a phone call today to meet with a case worker in regards to PTSD. He has an appointment to start speaking with a counselor/therapist in a few months so this call really caught him off guard. I have been searching and searching for reasons he would be so against getting this diagnosis if they happen to give it to him. I cannot find anything. For some reason he is under the impression he will have civil liberties taken from him. I don’t ..read more

I miss wearing my Nike Fields since getting out of the military. Met some guy today I got to talking to. He was never in the military and he was wearing Nike fields. What is everyones opinion on this? I was always under the assumption since im not in any more I should not be wearing those. Is this the wrong view? I feel like wearing them would cause to many questions about the military that I dont want to answer, but I really do miss wearing them. Any alternatives? submitted by /u/SimpleNatureLife2 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
