When it comes to islands in South Thailand, Phuket truly stands out among the rest as a must-visit holiday destination. What truly surprised me about this island upon researching, is that it is actually the largest island in the entire country of Thailand. Phuket and the country of Singapore are essentially the same size, which seems pretty hard to believe, but it is true. After arriving at Phuket International Airport (HKT), me and my friends were excited and ready for our stay in the old town of Phuket. There are plenty of tourist attractions to explore in Phuket Old Town. This includes the ..read more

One Complete Day at the Phi Phi Islands

When it comes to places to visit in Thailand, I have to say that the Phi Phi Islands are some of the most beautiful that I have visited. Not only do they feature naturally stunning destinations, such as Pileh Lagoon and Ko Phi Phi Don, but they also include the mesmerizing Maya Bay. This is home to one of Leonardo DiCaprio’s classic movies “The Beach”, which was filmed on its shores. As a Leonardo fan myself, I have to say that this was an alluring factor for a visit. I am glad I went to Maya Bay because its clear turquoise waters are a spectacle by themselves. Besides this memorable bay, I al ..read more

It goes without saying that Bangkok is a huge city, and there are a lot of places to see when you visit the Thai capital. It is known as the Big Mango for a reason with over 10 million people living here, and it is by far the most-visited destination in the whole of Thailand.  With all of this in mind, you might be wondering whether it is possible to cover all the city in 4 days and see the best things that it has to offer. With that being said, you could quite easily spend a month here and still not get to experience everything that the bustling city of Bangkok has to offer. I would like ..read more

Jakarta is one of those cities which is completely mysterious to many. Although it is the capital of Indonesia, The Big Durian is often missed by tourists as they often choose to spend most of their time in Bali instead. This is a mistake in my opinion, as Jakarta offers a strong introduction into both the Indonesian culture and lifestyle that you couldn’t get anywhere else in the country. You might be wondering why anyone would visit Jakarta, and that is a good assumption to have… Well, besides all of the amazing shopping malls that sell premium brands such as Gandaria City or Mall Taman Angg ..read more

As a movie fan, I am being completely honest when I say that James Bond was a big favorite of mine. The action and suspense along with the irresistible romance was a faultless recipe that captivated millions of people. So much so, that twenty-seven Double 07 movies have been made over the past 60 years. Now that I am ranting on about the Bond movies, you might be wondering how they relate to such a small Thai island. Well, allow me to explain. James Bond Island is also known as Khao Phing Kan, and the island is world-renowned after it starred in The Man With The Golden Gun film in 1974. These ..read more

A great little city to visit while you are in the north of Thailand is Chiang Rai. I went on a group tour here and I can honestly say it is a fabulous place with its fair share of awe-striking Buddhist temples.  I would say Chiang Rai is perfect for those people who are big fans of temples in general and it is one of the main reasons to go there in the first place. Besides this, it has a relaxing and soothing vibe which is more mellow than the more southern parts of Thailand which includes Bangkok. You don’t need to spend that long in this city and I believe the daytrip I took was enough ..read more

As most would agree, a trip to Thailand isn’t quite complete without visiting the capital of the country which is Bangkok. I remember the first time I went to Bangkok and was stunned by the beautiful Buddhist architecture that is reflected in both the great Grand Palace and the equally stunning Wat Pho which are in walking distance of each other. There are plenty of things to see and do in Bangkok. However, one particularly fascinating place to visit which is just outside of Thailand’s bustling capital is the city of Ayutthaya.
