Was turning some dry east red cedar today and the tenon completely sheered off down the middle while I was hollowing it out. Craziest part was a piece of it was still locked in my chuck, so for my first tenon I guess I didnt make it too bad lol. I have this portion of Maple I've saved over winter that I cannot for the life of me figure out how to portion into blanks. Circular saw blade for scale.
My lathe is small at an 8" maximum round and about 16" max length.
This is gorgeous wood, that probably is salted too. The board pictures are from the same tree.

I’m needing to sell my Grizzly G0462 lathe. Before I list it on marketplace, I want to make sure I price it right. It’s old and very used but still works well. Thoughts?

I have an acrylic piece I’d like a more experienced person to turn for a test run. Would hope to sell/repeat.
About 1/2 the length of a pen blank, with shape/profile for grip and a hole drilled through the center. I will do finishing/assembly steps.
Best resource to find a collaborator? Looking to place mixed color run of up to 100.
