Registration for the 39th Annual Convention of The Episcopal Church in North Texas, which will be Saturday, November 13, 2021, via Zoom, opened September 14, 2021. There is no registration fee. Registration will close November 1, 2021. We will use the same voting system we did last year, which means delegates and clergy must register with the email they will use in voting. Register here. Nominations are now open for eight positions that will be filled at the 2021 Convention of The Episcopal Church in North Texas, which will be held via Zoom on Saturday, November 13, 2021. The deadline for submitting nominations is September 17, 2021. On February 22, 2021, the Supreme Court of the United States declined to hear our cases, which meant the decision of the Texas Supreme Court awarding more than $100 million worth of property and our name to people who left The Episcopal Church in 2008 stands. Dana Wilson St. Luke’s, Stephenville, hosted Father Nektarios of the Orthodox Community in North Texas on Monday, August 9th, for dinner and a presentation entitled, “Mary Magdalene and Women Saints in the Orthodox Church.” Father Nektarios is Dr. Eric Morrow, Dean of the Liberal and Fine Arts Department at Tarleton State University. Four members of the Orthodox Community in Granbury were also guests for the evening. A burial office with communion for Vernon and Deanna Gotcher will be at 9:30 am at St Martin-in-the-Fields, 223 S. Pearson Lane, Keller, Texas, 76248, on Friday, August 20, 2021. Everyone is asked to wear masks. The Rev. Vernon Alfred Gotcher, Ph.D, died December 6, 2020.  Deanna Gotcher died January 14, 2021.
