Two decades after Life of Mammals, Sir David Attenborough revisits this “extraordinary” group of animals in a major new series for the BBC, titled ‘Mammals’. The six episodes will explore different environments; Dark, Cold, Heat, Water, Forest and The New Wild – an episode that explores the “ingenious” ways mammals are adapting to a world dominated by humans, “arguably the most successful mammal of all”. Each episode will run for 60 minutes and cover a range of mammals – from the miniature tenrecs of Madagascar to the humpback whales of the Indian ocean. The series starts on BBC 1 at 7pm on t ..read more

A very slow day with only the hardiest furs and beaks making an appearance at the Hide , and who could blame them ! Anyway despite the appalling weather i managed to fire off a few shots , here they are….. European Robin Blue tit Long-tailed tit ©️ Wildonline.blog ..read more

The Brown Rat , Rattus norvegicus The Brown Rat is a native of central Asia which was introduced to the British Isles around 1720. It has subsequently spread throughout the British Isles, and indeed much of the temperate world, carried especially by humans in ships.
