Liverpool’s trip to Manchester ended with a 5 goal victory over our Northern rivals. Jurgen Klopp was forced to change the squad at least once due to injury as Fabinho was missing for Liverpool with a minor knee strain. Then some voluntary team selections including Joel Matip moving to the subs bench as Konate started for only the second time in the Premier League. Diogo Jota also came in for Sadio Mané. The 1st Half I don’t think any team can rightly predict the exact time it will take for them to turn up at Old Trafford and start scoring against Manchester United. If you said “we’ll score w ..read more

Liverpool top their Champions League Group Table and qualify for the knock out rounds as we claimed our 3rd consecutive Champions League victory against Madrid. Liverpool lined up with Alisson as their goalkeeper. Our keeper and also Fabinho had been in Madrid since before most everyone else as they’d played international games for Brazil shortly before we were due to play Watford away. Also, fellow Brazilian Roberto Firmino was making his 300th appearance. I’m pretty sure i’ve seen all of your games, Bobby. It’s a rare occasion when i miss the game (too sick to even turn on the TV or someth ..read more

Liverpool claimed 5 goals and all 3 points from their trip to Watford. Kelleher was chosen between the goalposts because of Alisson being on international duty recently and even after that, apparently being sent ahead to Madrid where Liverpool will soon have a Champions League fixture. By the end of this fixture, Liverpool had kept a clean sheet and scored five times down the other end of the pitch. The manager selected his team well, even while some noteable names were absent including Alisson and Fabinho.   An early lead. Liverpool took less than 10 minutes to start scoring against Wat ..read more

Jurgen Klopp didn’t make any changes that he didn’t have to, mostly keeping the Liverpool starting 11 as it was against Brentford but with James Milner coming in at right-back for the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold. There was a tribute respectfully paid to the late great Liverpool and England legend Sir Roger Hunt before kick-off and the atmosphere around Anfield was somewhere between solemn and hopeful at the first whistle of the game. This fixture was a strongly contested one and both sides had their chances to open the scoring, though it wouldn’t happen in the 1st half. Diogo Jota was wor ..read more

Liverpool came away with all the points and 5 goals from their trip to Portugal. Trent Alexander-Arnold did not feature in the squad at all due to injury with Milner moving into the starting 11 for replacing Trent. Liverpool started well enough with a goal under 20 minutes played. At the 18th minute, Salah would casually put the visitors in the lead and Sadio Mane struck shortly before the half time whistle at the 45th minute. Being 2 goals ahead, Liverpool still claimed a 3rd goal in the 60th minute when Salah got a 2nd for himself. Salah scored twice against Porto. So would his teammate Fi ..read more

Liverpool came away with a point from their trip to Brentford. There shouldn’t be a name you don’t recognise as you look at the starting 11. Or the entire squad including the substitutes also.  Any youngsters that were used in the Carabao Cup recently are no longer being used in this competition. GOALS In a game that boasted 6 goals total, the fans only had to wait 27 minutes for the first goal of the game. Last season, Brentford were a Championship side and they reached the Premier League through playoffs. Now, they’re scoring first against Liverpool. Ethan Pinnock would open the scorin ..read more

Liverpool make it to the 4th round of the Carabao Cup, after victory against Norwich. The Carabao Cup (AKA the English League Cup) usually provides a refreshing change to other competitions when it comes to team selection. You often see youngsters that would be playing in the Under 21s squad or Reserves move up to the Senior Squad for a chance to make a surprise appearance. A couple of these youngsters included Kaide Gordon and Conor Bradley making their senior debuts and starting. Tyler Morton was on the subs bench. Joe Gomez also captained Liverpool’s senior team for the first time ever, la ..read more

Liverpool win again at Anfield. Ibrahima Konate’s debut was made following his big-money transfer from RB Leipzig. Liverpool would keep a clean sheet with him in central defence, also claiming a 3 goal victory and that’s not a bad way to start off his career with the team. Tsimikas at left back and James Milner at right back kept things interesting defensively, too. Konate and Virgil Van Dijk made up Liverpool’s wall in the middle of defence Liverpool had their fair share of scares but our defensive strength dealt with the threats adequately enough to not concede when they came. Liverpool win their first Champions League fixture of the season. Joe Gomez started for the first time since November, Divock Origi got his first start since January, while Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita started in midfield. An early Lead Liverpool were looking strong in their own stadium early on, opening the scoring in under ten minutes. Alexander-Arnold played a 1-2 with Salah near Rafael Leao who couldn’t gain possession due to this clever play, then Trent made his way into the box on the right, would try to push the ball over to the centre only to see the ball deflect off Tomori and ove ..read more

Liverpool’s trip to Leeds ended in victory. Jurgen Klopp made two changes to the Liverpool starting 11 who faced Chelsea at Anfield recently as Diogo Jota and Thiago replaced Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino. The subs bench still had plenty of strength, too. Konate is a new signing but everyone else, you should know well. You may already have heard that Harvey Elliot suffered a serious injury during this fixture. Liverpool were actually already 0-2 up with goals from Mohamed Salah and Fabinho before the injury to Elliot. Pascal Struijk received a controversial red card after a VAR review ..read more
