…and stayed joyfully well
You may know from my social media, that I’ve recently got back from a wonderful few days away. Not only did I have a wonderful time overall but something amazing happened. On the first day of my holiday, I walked twice as far as I have been able to for the last 4 years, just over 2 miles! 1 mile each way up and down a hill. Then I continued to have joyfully well adventures for the following days, every day walking the distance I only usually manage at weekends when I let go of other energy expenditure.
The conditions for this expansion:

It’s not surprising that living with a long-term health condition can lead to illness focused thought patterns. Repeated experiences of bad days, or even just daily pain and fatigue, can keep us focused on illness and in a state of symptom expectation. When we choose to do a little too much for the joy of it, it’s hard not to anticipate a crash or a flare. And after what seems like your 100th set back, it’s understandable to question whether you’ll ever improve.
But as a spiritual/ energetic being living a human existence, our thoughts are a crucial ingredient in the reality we co-create. Deve ..read more

This week I found myself quite strongly disagreeing with someone who was struggling through an extended dip and felt that creating joyful wellness was not something to be thinking about during those difficult times when instead all you could do is push yourself to get through. I don’t want anyone to feel that they must push themselves to be joyfully well, but neither do I want anyone to feel that all they can do is struggle and push to get through. So today, I want to explain what I mean when I say that you can be creating joyful wellness without effort, even during the most difficult times.

This episode is a recording of a short training for people with long-term health conditions. A satisfying sense of purpose can be easily attained, despite limited energy, when recognising and valuing these 4 types of pupose, and making sure that we prioritise them in a way that works for the good of all (and that means you first!).
This is a recording of a live training in my Facebook group Spoonies with Purpose: creating joyful wellness . If you’d like to take part in future trainings and mini-workshops, head over and join us here: https://www.facebook.com/group ..read more

To get ready for a new year ahead I like to put the old one to bed with a brief but constructive review. With limited mental energy, we can tend to have an overgeneralised memory which can put a negative slant on our impressions of the past. But if we guide our attention carefully we can go into the next year with a better sense of good things to come. Here’s how I’m leaving 2023 behind.
3 things that worked for my joyful wellness this year
