Eilis Kennedy: So Ends This Day COPP034 So Ends This Day is the title of my new record. “A collection of songs. LANKUM ARE A FOUR-PIECE GROUP FROM DUBLIN, IRELAND WITH AN ALCHEMICAL ABILITY TO COMBINE TRADITIONAL FOLK ROOTS WITH CONTEMPORARY UNDERCURRENTS TO FORGE MUSIC THAT IS DARK, MYSTERIOUS AND TRANSCENDENTAL. Made up of brothers Ian and Daragh Lynch, Cormac MacDiarmada and Radie Peat, Lankum has gained worldwide acclaim for their first two albums and captivating, often euphoric live performances. They have released their new album ‘The Livelong Day’, last October. Lankum honors the sacredness of traditional Irish tunes, but allow them to metamorphose, to grow and breathe like the heavy, ancient ..read more

From modest beginnings the festival has gone from strength to strength. The past decade has has seen the festival grow in terms of size, ambition and musical breadth, with a line-up that now appeals to the purist and the merely curious alike. Although TradFest today is Irelan ..read more

The highly acclaimed band Goitse have just launched their eagerly anticipated fifth studio album, Úr. In the Irish language, “úr” evokes both the ancient and the modern.
