And the duo came up with big throws again in America over the weekend. Angela went beyond 60m in the hammer for the first time with a throw of 60.99m at a meeting in Charlottesville. The Scottish Half Marathon champion moved up a distance in fine style to record 2:29.15 in the elite race. And Callum Hawkins won the men’s gold in our championships as he came home sixth British athlete in 2:17.34. It was the first time in five years Callum has completed a marathon after DNF at the Olympics and subsequent injury issues. The strong Scottish performances included a team win in the British Athletics Road Championships for our U15 Boys and a race win for Para athlete, Niamh Currie. RRGP 2024 rd2 Seven athletes have landed shares in our Road Race Grand Prix after the most recent race. The Scottish 10-Mile Champs were staged at Strathclyde Park in the Tom Scott Road Races on March 31. And fine performances at the top end of the race saw athletes land shares as well as Scottish Championship medals. There were four A standards in the Men’s race and a B standard.
