We previously have not had good experiences with MSC Cruises. Check out my MSC Meraviglia post from 2019 and our experience with MSC and our booked Divina cruise where MSC added $1000 to our fair after we had booked. Of course we cancelled that one. But after we retired, and I became a Travel Agent, I found a Travel Agent fair too good to pass up. Read on to see if anything has improved, or if things are still the same ..read more

The last day of a cruise is always the saddest day. You have to say goodbye to everyone, plus you have to pack. It's never easy to pack after a cruise, and I'm finding it harder knowing that we'll be flying home with a weight restriction on our check on luggage ..read more

We had wanted to visit the Mendenhall glacier, and we had planned to book a local shuttle bus to take us. Unfortunately, Juneau recently restricted passes to the glacier, and the shuttle busses that dropped you off and picked you up on the half hour can no longer do that, at least in 2023. Luckily, we were able to snag a ship excursion for a little bit more money ..read more

After our late start on day one, we knew that we would not get to Sitka. Sitka had been our supposed first port, and a lot of people were disappointed. I was glad that it wasn’t Icy Straight that was cancelled because we have a whale watching excursion scheduled for that port. Day 3 at ..read more

I’m going to write short posts about our cruise, and then I’ll fix them up when we get home. The internet is kind of slow on the ship. I’m sitting in Skywalker’s Lounge as I write this. It’s a really nice area all the way up on deck 18. It’s warmer than outside, and I ..read more

This cruise to Alaska is a bucket list cruise for us. And it's so different than what we've done before. First of all, we've never flown to a cruise port. Actually, we haven't flown at all in over thirty years. I don't even know what to expect, but I have found out that flying isn't as easy as it used to be ..read more
