Tasha Layton ft. Chris Brown – “Worship Through It”
This looks impossible
But You’re the God of impossible
And I’ve seen your faithfulness all over my life
I need a miracle
And You’re the God of miracles
Some way, somehow You come through every time
Chorus
I know my God can do it
So, I’m gonna worship through it
Before I see my breakthrough
I’m gonna choose to praise You
I will sing hallelujah to the one
Who can do what the world says can’t be done
I know my God can do it
So, I’m gonna worship through it
In the middle of my no way out
In the middle of my don’t kno ..read more

This week on American Idol, former contestants Colton Dixon, Melinda Doolittle, and Danny Gokey were invited back on the show to perform “Shackles (Praise You)” as a special tribute to Mandisa. This was a song Mandisa performed as a contestant on the show, and she also included it on her debut album, True Beauty, in 2007.
Here’s what Colton Dixon had to say about Mandisa at the end of their performance…

David Leonard – “Keep The Light On”
The day’s been a struggle and the nights been hard
I’ve been roamin’ through the dark with a broken heart
When temptation leaves me walking blind
I’ll look to You Lord every time
Like a full moon rising in the dead of night
Your love came and found me like a satellite
Come flood this soul, make it burn so bright
Shadows have nowhere to hide
Like a lighthouse in the storm
Like a star that points me north
I’d be lost without Your lamp unto my feet
Like a voice that calls me home
All my days forever more
Won’t You keep the light on ..read more

As we have been thinking about Mandisa this week and the impact she made from the first time she stepped on the American Idol stage nearly 20 years ago, we wanted to share some cool moments from this season’s contestants!
We have watched the show off and on for years, but we don’t know that there has been a season that we remember as many believers on the show singing songs about their faith! These young people have truly been a light in the darkness. And regardless of what place they rank on the show, we absolutely know that the Lord has used this platform for His glory. &nb ..read more

This past week, the music industry has been mourning the loss of Mandisa. We first met her when she walked into the American Idol audition of Season 5 back in 2006. Her talent was incredible, but her grace was even more special.
When one of the judges hurt her deeply, listen to how she responded.
Shortly after the show ended, she went on to a successful career in Christian music and had many songs on the radio and even received a Grammy award!
We played one of our favorites, “Overcomer,” at the start of the show. But, our host, William Ryan III, also loved “Go ..read more

Hannah Kerr – “Changed”
I’ve been to the bottom
I’ve been to the edge
And I’ve been down that road that led to failure and regret
Oh, but I’ve been to the one who wrote his love for me in red
And I’ve been changed
I’ve been hearing voices
That sound a lot like shame
They try to keep me locked up
And say I’ll always wear those chains
But they’re talking to the old me
And I don’t answer to that name
Cause I’ve been changed
He changed my weeping to rejoicing
And my guilty into grace
Changed a list of wrongs behind me
Into a past erased
He changed my wounded into heal ..read more

This week, it has been 25 years to the very week since Natalie Grant’s debut record released. Natalie said she remembers being in the studio recording this song, “At Your Feet,” and she just wept the first several times she tried to sing it.
She did not have a clue what the future would hold but knew she made a commitment to stay at the feet of Jesus for the journey. And God has astounded her with His faithfulness in every season.
And here is a fun fact – her husband, Bernie, played the piano on the original track before they were even married and is still ..read more
