I don't want to know who you hate, or why NZ comedy sucks. Who is the one you like the most?

Hi,
Non-māori speaker here, but I find the language quite cool and interesting. Whilst staying in Aotearoa, I liked to listen to George FM and they always have a phrase in māori before the news that goes :
A neina porungo korero o George - This is George news (my attempt at transcription). I tried googling the phrase and couldn't figure out the proper spelling or meaning - korero is news apparently.
Could you help me figure out this phrase? Thanks a lot.

I was born and raised in Japan, anytime there is even some small rain, everyone starts using umbrellas. Even convenience stores like 7 Eleven have umbrella stands inside when it is raining, but I noticed here, almost no one uses umbrellas, everyone just with jackets. Why?
