Cliff Bleszinski’s FPS Lawbreakers has been given a new lease of life six years after the game shut down, thanks to a fan-made launcher making the game playable once again. Developed by Boss Key Productions, Lawbreakers launched in August 2017 but was shuttered after just one year due to lower player engagement, despite attracting positive reviews from critics. Takeo Kujiraoka, DLC director on Final Fantasy XVI, has revealed that the PS5 RPG was successful in attracting a younger audience, something which Square Enix was conscious about in its decision not to include turn-based combat in the game.
