I tried to follow the superfinal, but it just wasnt possible. No news, nothing anywhere. Its easier to follow any random cat2 competition, where the organiser posts some small news on the airtribune/civlcomps blog...
Everything happens as if most of the pilots were paying to go to the pwc and consider it as their holidays not our show. By the way, aren't most of them amateurs ?

How do you make sure there is no traffic (paragliders, gliders, deltas, small planes, helicopters, ...) right underneath the dense cloud layer you're about to "safely" spiral through?

I am comparing MERU 1 and MERU 2 weight ranges and have noticed on the website that, while for the MERU 1 Up report an "Optimal takeoff weight", for MERU 2 they only specify "Takeoff Weight" ranges as underneath:
MERU1 S/M M L
Optimal takeoff weight 96/98 106/108 116/120
take off weight 95/105 100/115 110/130
MERU2 S/M M L
Optimal take off weight ? ? ?
Takeoff weight 88/101 97/112 108/125
Does anyone knows directly from UP what they recommend per each size on Meru 2? or is the "ta ..read more

I flew the Ultrlite 5 in size 13 at Stubaicup. Just one short glide down, can't say much about the wing. It is fun to fly, incredibly light, but I missed a B-C connection for accelerated flight. I did a fullstall, some wingovers and loops, and an accelerated landing, see videos. Compared to Susi 3 13 and Bantan1 12 it is more playful to fly, it feels sharp, a little bit like the swing Apus rs 16, but because of the smaller size ..read more
