So currently I’m scheduled may 9th for a laparoscopy to look for endometriosis and remove it if they find it. I’ve seen a wide variety of recovery timelines and am looking for some input. I have a 5 year old son that is in cooperative preschool which means I stay and “work” in the class two days a week (for about 3 hours) I have someone to cover my workday on the 13th but not the Friday that week after my surgery. He also has his graduation the 21st and the 23rd and 24th are park field trips then starting the next week he is doing a summer class where I’ll have to work one day a week in the c ..read more

TW: pregnancy, fertility, irregular periods and nausea Hey everyone, I have been driving myself insane over the past couple weeks and I just do not know what to do anymore. This may be a long post so there’s a TLDR at the end but most of the information is pretty important. I’ve suffered with chronic pelvic pain for nearly three years. All tests are clear including MRIs, Xrays and Ultrasounds as well as blood tests, urine tests etc. I have heavy periods, irregular when not on contraception as well as acne that hasn’t gone away past my teens and many more indicating symptoms. I saw a pelvic fl ..read more

Hi everyone, I (31F) don’t think I have endo nor have I been diagnosed but I have been reading your stories through this sub and it’s been very enlightening, so thank you! (I used to get painful period cramps where I would almost pass out every time & usually if I’d be able to walk over to grab Tylenol I’d throw it up immediately along with a severe cold sweats & sometimes diarrhea but this has been masked with birth control over the last couple years & I’m afraid to get off of it). I’m not here to ask about me, though. My SIL (26F) was recently diagnosed with endo and she is havi ..read more

Does anyone else get joint pain? Especially at night? I often have a dull ache all over my body, especially at night. A telehealth nurse suggested I might want to ask my PCP about fibromyalgia- does anyone else have that too? submitted by /u/MsNelson26 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Does this sound like endo?

Hi guys! I see my OBGYN May 6th, but was hoping to get some insight before I go. My periods have always been very heavy and painful. They’ve also always been irregular. I used to get them about once every three months. However now it’s completely different. Since January 1st I have been been bleeding off and on, more days than not. When I bleed it’s very light, no clotting but with adnominal pressure (not as bad as when im “really” on my period though). It’s not much, but enough where I usually wear a light tampon. I can usually tell when im on my real period, usually every other month. This ..read more

Suspected endo, any advice?

hi guys!! I was told that this subreddit might have some good advice for me. I have a 4.5 cm cyst on my right ovary that has been with me about a month and continues to get worse. I had an ultrasound last week to determine that it’s not dangerous or anything. I’ve had ovarian cysts before that were not as painful and went away but this one is giving me trouble. it is painful basically 24/7, I can’t wear my jeans anymore because my abdomen is so swollen and the waistband digs in. I can’t lay on that side either because it’s so tender. My doctor basically said that we’ll check on it again in a ..read more

Should I get a 2nd opinion?

I had my ultrasound last Thursday which uncovered 2 cysts. One is endometrioma (5cm) and the other is unknown (2cm). I just saw a gynaecologist and there’s an 80% chance I have endometriosis. I’m going to go ahead and say 100% as it just makes sense. The lap is scheduled for the 15th of May. They’ll insert the Mirena afterwards to help control the hormones. So within the same month of being diagnosed, I am receiving treatment. It’s a good thing but am very nervous about how quickly it’s moving. Should I get a 2nd opinion? I’m not sure what I would expect but it’s a peace of mind knowing that ..read more

so every time i bring this up, theres like a ton of people telling me to just see a doctor and saying they can’t diagnose me and i want to acknowledge that i already know that. please dont tell me that. im only asking if this is a symptom anyone else has or can relate to, while looking for a diagnosis with my doctors. every single morning, my abdominal wall ACHES. it feels like i did 800 sit ups in my sleep. it is excruciating and ive had to roll out of bed, land on all fours, and slowly lean into a sitting position on the ground before because standing was too agonizing. it is really awful ..read more

Could this be bowel endo?

Hi all, this might be a bit of a long post, so bear with me. I have PCOS and adenomyosis and my hormones have been out of whack for a few months now and my adeno pain has been getting worse and worse. I’m also having some symptoms that I’m now wondering if they’re endo on the bowel. I’ve previously seen a gastroenterologist for some of these symptoms and they did a stomach emptying study and an upper endoscopy and everything came back clean. The doctor said it may be a food intolerance or anxiety. Symptoms: -I often have loose stools but am constipated. It hurts to go, but when it does eventu ..read more

Should I cancel my laparoscopy for June?

If I’ve been on progesterone for half a year, will it shrink the lesions or growth? Should I be worried that my specialist won’t be able to find anything? If someone asked me a month ago about getting laparoscopy I would’ve said yes. I’m scheduled in June but I’ve been having way more good days than bad. Almost 6 months on Depo and I’m much much better than I was before. I was having daily pain for 4+ months and now my major symptoms are bladder frequency/pain, random cramping with sharp pain around ovaries, and intense bloating from inflammatory foods. My bladder and defecation pain could be ..read more
