I’ve only lived here a month, so it was like this when I moved in. I’ve tried every combo of moving the handle up and down and twisting the lock both directions. I’m assuming the door is locked when I can’t move the handle either from inside or outside- I can only get it to do that if the door is open. When closed the lock key thing will only turn so far and I can still move the handle from the inside. I even tested it with a friend trying to lock them on the balcony and I couldn’t. I purchased four Hillman 67 and Cassett H blanks and had them duplicated and now when I had gotten them home I gave one to one person and it works at one to another person and it works and I tend to the Don’t and I have my original key which says WR5 on it and I don’t know why the Hillman has all these warnings about radioactive material I looked at these up and down and they are a denticle I can swear You know what there’s a can take a file to them. Hey all So locked myself out of my car today(long story) and I called a locksmith. I have a pretty old car so he was able to just use a pump wedge and a tool to turn my manual lock - probably 5 minutes total of labor. I’m not really the type to argue with service people and I was so annoyed it happened to me in the first place so I just paid him and left. Did I get ripped off? This is for a 1995 Honda Del Sol S with manual lock, no power locks https://imgur.com/a/tlpUXDC The plastic at the end is supposed to hold the door lock rod. Whenever the key turn to the right, it’s supposed to turn the plastic down to the rod gets pressed down and it locks. The issue is that it doesn’t stay down after the key returns to its center so the door won’t lock. The passenger door is fine and does what it’s supposed to but the driver side will not. I recently got a storage unit and I had to buy a cylinder lock like the one in the picture. Unfortunately, the key got stuck and I asked the employees for help but they won’t help me unless I pay $50 to have it drilled out.
