Imagine a Dr. Stone type situation happened where all of a sudden, you wake up in a society with no humans or civilization at all- except you get to chose where to spawn in from to maximize your chances of survival. You'd want to chose an area with mild winters and summers, plenty of water, etc. What would be the best place on earth for this situation?

I recently attended my regional geography bee and got first place (relevant to the discussion I promise) and upon reviewing the questions, I realized I got every Non-US question correct but didn't get a single US question correct (roughly 10% of questions).
The U.S. has always been a weakness of mine mostly because I live here, and while yes, I pick up since things from cultural osmosis, I've never really figured out how to study it or been interested in it as it didn't feel very... exotic.
