Hi guys, I'm looking for a beginner level camera that is good for astrophotography but also landscape photography. Looking for something on the cheaper to moderate side but still takes a nice crisp photo. Any tips would be muchly appreciated! submitted by /u/onceuponadesolation_ [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

First astrophotography attempt

Hello everyone, wanted to share my first ever attempt at astrophotography. I finally managed to get some clear weather in my Bortle 6 sky (on the night of a full moon, but oh well). For some reason, Siril’s OSC processing script couldn’t correctly place many of the stars, leading it to reject most of the 210 images I took. Took it as an opportunity to learn the manual way and I think it was absolutely worth it. I also didn’t manage to get good flats so I only used darks and biases, so that’s one improvement area for next time. Feedback and suggestions are much appreciated! Specs: 180x15s ..read more
