Anyone here with experience in teaching in Sri Lanka? Is it difficult to find a job now? And as far as I understand, a BA degree is not necessary to be able to work, is this correct?
Thanks a lot in advance!

New to reddit, trying to find information on an Australian accredited Tesol. Has anyone heard of or used Avse Tesol's online course? They cost a lot but info is limited and they only seem to have high ratings and reviews, just wanted to find out if it's a scam of it's really just as good as the comments say?

Hi all, I'm a musician moving to Spain later this year with my wife. I'm a musician and do bits and pieces but I need extra work to stack everything up. I just want to know Is it worth doing a TEFL qualification? Would there be enough work with a TEFL qualification to get me that extra £10k? If so, how many working hours per week would you estimate that'd be?.
P s I already have a uni degree in History and Politics and have been in the music industry for the past 10 years or so. Any advice would be very appreciated!
Thanks

I just started 270hours from premier TEFL three days ago, because I wasn’t sure my level was good enough to be able to attend the course 180hours level5.
For the 180hours level5, it’s written that we need minimum of C1 level (that’s i definitively not have) and for the 270hours, it’s written minimum required would be B1 so I just wanted to pass it because first I know I have at least B1 level thus I’ve just decided to jump into a course that might be more adequate to me.
The thing is something is strange due to the minimum level required B1,whereas in the 270 hour package there is 120 hours c ..read more

Hey everyone!
I’m currently doing a 200+ hour TEFL qualification with TEFL.org and I’m looking forward to being able to teach English after the course.
The question I had was for those who have either been in my position (no prior teaching experience or degree) or to anyone with some knowledge on this. How hard is it to find clients online once you get started? Where did you find your students and is it hard to build a client base big enough to be able to survive financially?
Any tips, expectations or areas I should be looking at when it comes to marketing myself/stand out or where to find th ..read more

I have this question on a job application, and I don't know how to answer it: If you are teaching a class with several students, and one student doesn't understand a grammar concept, what would you do?
I would appreciate any advice. Most all of my teaching experience has been one on one, and I have ideas of what I'd do, but I don't know what the proper thing to do is. :/

My mom has been teaching Spanish online for a while. She loves it.
But she kept complaining about how time-consuming (and boring) it is to schedule classes and keep track of payments.
All existing solutions were bad, old, and expensive.
So I build Waterlesson to help her out.
Now she spends all that time reading, writing, and sunbathing. And funny enough, gets more classes booked.
You can use it too at waterlesson.com.
PS: The first 5 user get 100% off :)
