One of my favorite cookies to make are pizzelles. They’re quick, easy, and super tasty. Another reason is because I love any excuse to break out a different kitchen appliance. The most important thing you will need is a pizzelle maker. I just have a small, single pizzelle maker from Dash, but there are others than can make more at a time. What you’ll need: 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter, melted 3 eggs 1 3/4 cup flour 1 tsp anise extract (you could use vanilla if you like) 1/4 tsp salt 2 tsp baking powder powdered suger What to do: In one bowl you will mix the sugar and 3 eggs. Then add the me ..read more

Influenster’s Spring Forward VoxBox

Influenster was kind enough to send me their Spring Forward VoxBox, filled with fun (and much appreciated) items to revamp my body and home (and tastebuds).   The first item was Gold Bond Ultimate’s Neck & Chest Age Defense Cream. Since I am a very fair-skinned person, I always tend to look for products that have SPF. I’m also in my thirties so I’m starting to look for products that keep wrinkles at bay. Luckily, this does both. It protects against UV exposure, as well as signs of aging on your neck and chest area.     It goes on quite nicely. It has an almost whipped con ..read more

Condensed Milk Cake

Since being at home, like everyone else (should be), I’ve been going through my pantry to see if I needed anything. I realized that I’ve apparently purchased many sweetened condensed milk cans, without a real purpose for them. That being said, cake always seems to be a good answer to any problem. I used a recipe from AllRecipes, but you can find all of the instructions below. What you’ll need: 1 cup + 3 tbsp AP four 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk 4 eggs 4 tbsp melted unsalted butter 2 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting   What to do: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cleaning out my fridge- Super Easy Fruit & Berry Pie.

I had frozen pie crusts that I had to use, so the next two recipes I have for you will feature the simple and humble frozen pie crust. The first recipe also incorporates something else I always have in my freezer, which is frozen fruit. I’m a big fan of smoothies, so I always have an abundance of frozen fruit. Sometimes bags get lost in the mix, so in order to avoid waste, I always like to make sure I utilize everything. What you’ll need: 1 thawed pie crust 4 cups frozen fruit (I’m using a cherry & berry mix) 3 tsp cornstarch 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice 1/4 cup sugar What to do: Bak ..read more

Easy Apple Strudel

I love any and all apple desserts. Apple strudel is one of my favorites. I’ve also learned everyone tends to have an different opinion on how it should be made. I like a strudel that’s crispy on the outside, soft and doughy on the inside. I like my apples on the softer side, and sliced super thin. No raisins, ever. I’m also a firm believer in working smarter, not harder where applicable, and absolutely appreciate a frozen puff pastry. I tend to always buy the Pepperidge Farm brand. It has never failed me, so this recipe is tailored to those sheets. What you’ll need: Apple Strudel: 1 box frozen ..read more
