What I Wore: Summer Work + Play

The name of my summer outfit game lately seems to be 'all in', or 'nada'. In other words, I am dressing nice and doing my hair, or wearing the most comfortable thing and not giving a second thought to my hair. That is the work and WFH dichotomy I suppose! Either way, I am enjoying finding my way into some business casual looks when I need them, and am also really enjoying my laid-back summer apparel while I still can! Here's a look at what I've been wearing. OUTFIT DETAILS: Tee, M Pants, old from REIFhaus Mules, Freda Salvador - use 15ANDREA to save Studio Bag, c/o I've been on the fence ab ..read more

Seasons Salt | Summer

This summer I have engaged in some shameless outfit repeating. The reason: pure survival (I've been busy). But after reflecting a bit this week, I've realized there are some excellent benefits to outfit repeating that are worth mentioning on the blog. These are great to keep in mind if you feel reluctant to repeat (don't worry, no one cares or notices!) or if you feel stuck when getting dressed in the morning. 3 Benefits of Outfit Repeating: 1 // You look good every day and you always like what you’re wearing. Because I am wearing 'tried and true' outfits, I always feel good and I always ..read more

What I Wore: Summer Repeats (and more life updates)
Seasons Salt | Summer

Wow, I feel like my head is in a fog this summer. Okay, maybe not a fog, more like my head is everywhere *BUT* my closet. I have not shopped, I have not pinned, I am barely even on Instagram. I have approximately 5% of my brain available for clothing right now, so I am 'grabbing and going' each morning when it comes to getting dressed. This means relying on my summer favorites, the outfits I don't have to think about because I've already worn them. I'm a little tired of alluding to my future career adventures, because vague-booking is totally annoying, so here's the skinny: I'm working on ge ..read more

What I Wore: Business Casual Outfits
Seasons Salt | Summer

Hi friends! My life feels like it has been turned upside down lately, but in mostly good ways. I am a bit of a living cliché: the mom who has been at home for a decade-plus and is migrating back into the professional world. It's exciting, exhilarating and complicated. My outfits this week were fun to put together, but some days I was so busy I forgot to snap a photo. One day I spent time feverishly researching 'business casual' the night before a meeting (this post was really, really helpful!). That's a style of dressing I haven't paid attention to for a very long time, but now it's suddenly ..read more

What I Wore: Shorts, Dresses + a few ‘Work’ Outfits
Seasons Salt | Summer

This week has been quite busy, and my outfit documentation clearly reflects that. I started with higher quality photos and was exclusively cell phone-selfies by the end of the week. I've hinted a few times at a new career path I am on (I promise I will share more soon) and this week I had some in-person activities that lead to some serious wardrobe consideration. Upon reflection, getting dressed for 'work' verses getting dressed for 'influencing' feels entirely different. In the influencer world I always felt like I had to be ahead of the trends, stand out and and be unique. But in the profe ..read more

What I Wore at Disneyland (+ a Few Tips)
Seasons Salt | Summer

Happy summer! Our family just got back from a big vacation we’d been planning for several months: we finally punched our Disneyland card!  Our kids have been asking to go to Disneyland for a long time, and we figured we had better go before they got too old! They just finished 2nd, 4th and 7th grades, and are growing up fast. Everyone says childhood is a blink and it is astonishingly true. We had a great time and made lots of memories, and I feel like I returned home a little bit closer to each of them (especially my precious middle). I am not going to drag you through the details of ou ..read more

A Maxi Dress From Able (plus a discount code!)
Seasons Salt | Summer

The other day I set out to take photos of this dress to share with you guys, and the wind had other ideas. As you can see in the photos below, it was truly a whirlwind. This is the Tyler Strappy Maxi Dress from Able. It's made from 100% double cotton gauze. It's beautiful and soft. I love the drapey, effortless fit. The Tyler has crisscross back straps, so I like to wear my favorite strapless bra with it. But I have heard so many people say they love these in lieu of a strapless bra! If you're not familiar with Able, let me share a few cliff notes. >> This brand started on the pre ..read more

Yes, I won't lie. I am starting to daydream about cooler weather and the wardrobe changes that come with it. BUT, I am determined to give summer my A+ effort while she's still around. After all, how many days of the year do we face the challenge of wearing as few clothes as possible while remaining committed to our sartorial goals? It's not mission: impossible, in fact, it can be quite the opposite. It's a fun task to take on; limitations often increase creativity! Here are three outfit formula ideas to take you through the remaining weeks of summer. Thanks to Everlane for sponsoring this po ..read more
