Here is some good news. Some babies and children are minimally impacted by the change. Eh, but others - those that are more sensitive to any sleep changes and/or whom are particular to set routines will probably notice. The online Sleep NEEDS Program© is launching May 2017 here at Baby Sleep Central! This video is an introduction of what you can expect! From the tiniest of babies to children up to age 6, many have instantly had success (within days) & others over the course of a few weeks. I have found that by GENTLY working on your child's Sleep NEEDS first, before implementing ANY sleep training (shaping), this accomplishes the following: 1) It helps your child learn to LOVE SLEEP without all the tears. Did you know that your baby has a specific Wake Time Allowance? It's true! This is essentially the amount of time your child can be awake before requiring another sleep period. One of the most common exhausted sentiments I hear from parents is this: “My baby just won’t sleep”. Simultaneously deciphering your language for the first time, while struggling with their own communication attempts. Not to menti ..read more
