The Hokies have been on a serious tear of late. Baseball is a streaky - slumpy sport and right now, Tech is tearing up the diamonds at home and away. They sweep BC in Boston, and then out pitch Marshall on Tuesday. GO HOKIES!!!

Pedulla left open the possibility of a return to Blacksburg.
The Virginia Tech Hokies received more bad news on Wednesday when leading scorer Sean Pedulla announced he was entering the NCAA transfer portal.
The 6-foot-1 junior from Edmond, Oklahoma, averaged 16.4 points per game, 4.6 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game in 2023-24. Pedulla shot 42% from the field last season, including 32.5% from 3-point range.

The end of the college basketball season came on Saturday for the Virginia Tech Hokies, who fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the second round of the NIT. Now, the offseason is here, which means roster movement.
On Tuesday, a pair of Hokies entered the NCAA transfer portal. First, 6-foot-8 sophomore forward John Camden revealed he was entering the portal. Camden, who transferred to Virginia Tech from Memphis two years ago, has two years of eligibility remaining.

Who will replace Kenny Brooks?
The Virginia Tech Hokies received tough news on Tuesday morning when women’s basketball coach Kenny Brooks left for the same position at Kentucky. Brooks had spent the past eight seasons at Virginia Tech, rebuilding the program into a national contender.
Now athletic director Whit Babcock has the unenviable task of replacing Brooks. The good news is Babcock hired Brooks and has a mostly good track record of hiring head coaches for some of Virginia Tech’s top sports programs.

The news wasn’t a surprise, but it did speak of much. This morning at 11:30 AM EDT, Hokie Sports announced the departure of now former Head Coach Kenny Brooks for the pastures and hills of central Kentucky. He’s moved on.

It’s the second one ever for the Hokies.
On Saturday night in Kansas City, Virginia Tech sophomore Caleb Henson defeated Michigan’s Austin Gomez to win the NCAA wrestling national championship in the 149-pound weight class.
Henson, who was ranked fourth, defeated the sixth-ranked Gomez 15-7.
The Cartersville, Georgia native is the second Hokie wrestler to win the national championship, following the legendary Mekhi Lewis, who won in 2019 in the 165-pound division.

The Hokies will look a lot different next year.
The Virginia Tech men’s basketball season is over. The Hokies traveled to Columbus, Ohio, for the second round of the NIT on Saturday night and fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes, 81-73.
The loss means Virginia Tech will finish the 2023-24 season with a 19-15 record.
In his final game in a VT uniform, senior guard Hunter Cattoor led the Hokies with 19 points. Junior point guard Sean Pedulla scored 18 for Tech, while senior center Lynn Kidd scored 13 and pulled down six rebounds.

While all the talk is currently about March Madness, Virginia Tech head football coach Brent Pry received some good news on Saturday evening. The Hokies and Pry received a commitment from four-star linebacker Brent Clatterbaugh of Eastern View High School (Culpeper, Va).
