I’m having a freak out about… - notifications that I have to collect and remit tax in every country ever, and - the price of MoRs like paddle / lemonsqueezy, and - the fml complexity of doing it myself I hear talk of people just ignoring foreign taxes for a while. This sounds like such bad advice… wdyt? Edit: I’m based in Australia, mostly selling into US, AU, UK and EU submitted by /u/Commercial_Answer801 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I built remindcal as a software to keep track of expiring or due date items and general reminder to notify users of various items. For example contract renewals or license expirations and general recurring reminders. Looking for feedback and thoughts. Original idea was for personal recurring reminder via email (soon text) as I hated app notifications since I always missed them then evolved to be document expiration tracking Feedback welcome submitted by /u/yevo_ [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

How I mange my time to run a side business while having a fulltime job, without getting burnt out

I was completely fed up with never getting anything done. I craved change in my life but felt like I was perpetually running on a treadmill—working merely to retire someday. That's how it felt for years, until I discovered a better way to manage my time that allowed me to work on side projects consistently without feeling drained. So, what was this secret? It was all about managing my energy and being selective with my time. What do I mean by that? I identified the time in my day when I felt most energetic and creative. For some, this may be early in the morning before the day job starts; for ..read more

Who is our ideal customer and how to find them

We are a team of seasoned developers who love building things, especially AI-related ones. One of our products reached $4k MRR ($3.5k profit) after its initial launch last year. Not that we are good at marketing or anything, but we just got lucky. People started sharing our tool on their posts and we organically get regular paying customers since then. It's like a virus. When a person shared our tool, it started appearing in other "Best products for ABC" kind of posts, and it just kept circulating. We weren't that lucky with our other product even though we thought this was the product that w ..read more

Obvious advice on entrepreneurship

Here’s some obvious advice on entrepreneurship. Since we’re pulled in a thousand different directions 24/7 and distraction is real, it might help to constantly remind yourself of the basics. For me it does. A short summary of what I did: Helped bootstrap a CRM to millions in revenue; bootstrapped an e-learning platform that is now used by universities and some of the largest cooperations in Germany; now building a tool for SaaS applications that struggle with keeping their users. Hate it before you automate it – Don’t get lost building beautiful Notion pages and perfectly planned processes ac ..read more

What do you want to know about building MVPs?

Hey folks If there was a book that served as your guide to a successful MVP (and a little beyond), what would be of most value to you? (Assuming that you are a non-technical founder and that it's required to build some software) For context, both me and my cofounder have spent most of our professional careers working with or for startups, before starting Zero to MVP, a small agency, to help non-technical founders build their software product, with a focus on efficiency - no throw away products. In the last 5 years, we have delivered over 25 projects, averaging a 4-6 week delivery, for medium ..read more

I made a web app and I am monetizing it through stripe access. I am curious if I made a SaaS or nah? Because I do not charge a subscription, I do not think it makes sense for the product. It’s a one time payment only. Is it still a SaaS? View Poll submitted by /u/jogicodes_ [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Problem solved: I've developed a solution for myself to extract document data entirely free of charge!

Hello everyone, Before I get into the main topic, I want to let you know that I'm just a programmer who enjoys making cool stuff online. Okay, let's talk about it. As a developer, I had to deal with AI web apps. That meant I had to get data from different places and put it into these apps. Doing this by hand wasn't enough, especially because AI needs a lot of data. Plus, organizing all that data was tough. But the worst part was actually getting the data. There were also privacy worries. Opening files on my computer could be risky because they might have viruses. So, I had to use a special co ..read more

How I grew my lead gen by 10x on Linkedin

Despite seeing many others doing the same, yet still struggling to get engagement, I tried all the usual LinkedIn tactics to get my message in front of potential clients. Everything from InMails, messages, connection requests with a sales pitch as note, and posts with CTAs. Nothing worked and it felt like I was shouting into the Linkedin void. Almost out of ideas, I tried something different. I started commenting on posts made by my target audience, adding value without any sales-y language or hidden agendas. It was a game-changer. People started reaching out to me, adding me as a connection ..read more

Hello! I am relatively new to online businesses, ecommerce, or even working in tech. I am tech savvy, just my work experience has always been more in restaurants. I am trying to set up an online business, and i think Square and Hubspot will be what i need. But im not sure, as im not too familiar with Hubspot. Basically I am selling hardware installation packages, and then a monthly subscription based on a percentage of that initial hardware installation. The monthly subscription would have additional add-ons and such available. With this, i was hoping to have a customer portal for these clien ..read more
