What’s up divas? Happy Sunday. I just got back from a beautiful long road trip vacation with my family and I’m catching up on lots of things. I have a ton of things going on in my life right now — even more than usual. And if you followed me for very long at all, you know how dramatic my little military life can be. There’s always something, right? Murphy’s Law. I’m still having health struggles, and it’s just a constant matter of doctors appointments, keeping up with treatments like physical therapy and regular testing. I don’t wanna complain too much about it. I live in a lot of pain due to ..read more

A Love Letter to Christmas
Devotional Diva
by Maggie

Merry Christmas Divas! Man, I prayed all fall and December for words or meaning or a theme from God to share with you all here on Devotional Diva. I always do something special on Devotional Diva for Christmas, because it’s my favorite holiday, of course. But nothing came. No guidance, no whispers, no inspiration, no creativity. Not until today, in my shower of all places. And now I’m proud to say I wrote this special little diddy just in the NICK of time. (No pun intended Saint Nick.) When I was a kid, we always spent Christmas Eve at my grandmother‘s house. It was magical. My grandmother was ..read more

A Millennial Mom Look at Burn Out in Faith, Motherhood, and Modern Life

Editor’s note: This is a guest blog by Candice Jeneé. I connected with Candice on TikTok and asked her to share her wisdom on Devotional Diva! Thanks God and the algorithm for bringing us together, and thank you Candice for replying to my unhinged super long comments (not to mention this fab devotional ) This article has been harder to write than I thought it would be. Perhaps because life is crazy just when we need it to be calm. Or perhaps because right after deciding I wanted to write it, my own type of burnout kicked in. Or, perhaps because as an author, mom, business owner, and ministry ..read more

My Self-imposed Shame
Devotional Diva

Hi, it’s me.  I have a few things on my mind that I’d like to chat about today. If you follow me on social media at all, I have been, or have been trying, to be more open about all of the health issues going on in my life at the moment. Keeping all of my problems in my life hidden (even from friends and family) is just a habit that I have started somewhere along the line. I’m starting to realize that is super unhealthy for me. Like, I can be private and sensible, but totally hiding everything is starting to make me feel like my problems are something to be ashamed of. They definitely aren ..read more

The “I” in the Middle
Devotional Diva

Editor’s Note: This is a guest story by June E Titus, who is a veteran Diva and great friend. Thank you June for joining Spiritual Summer Sundays! The “I” in the Middle Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16: 18 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. Proverbs 11: 12 The big joke of the term “pride” is the “I” in the middle. When I am in the middle of all my aspirations and efforts, the best expectations are for a fall, or worse, disgrace. First hand experiences are the best way to describe this.  While I was sickly in ..read more

Remember, Divas, submissions are open INDEFINITELY “Then he was afraid, and he arose and ran for his life…and came and sat down under a broom tree.
