An Energy Overview with Tarot for 2024
Touchstones School : Crystal Therapy

I usually choose myself some guidance cards at the start of each year and do a reading to get a feel of the overall energy for this new solar cycle. I shuffled with the intention of gaining a wider perspective for us as a collective this time. Necessarily this will be a generic reading, so if these cards, or my words, don’t resonate please let them go. Using the Arthurian Tarot the first card I drew represented the overview, or keynote, of the year. Here we see the Stone Knight, equating to the Knight of Pentacles in other decks. Looking at him riding along unhurriedly on his sturdy pony gave ..read more

I have loved leading my Journey of 13 Moons Women's Circle throughout 2023, so much so that we are continuing our Circle in 2024. For the year ahead we'll be gathering in Circle on the Saturday closest to the Full Moon each month. This is an online Circle - provided you have an internet connection you can gather with other women wherever you are in the world. We'll be working with different Goddesses and crystals each month and I'll be introducing our themes at every New Moon. This will help you set relevant intentions for yourself and be ready with your crystals for the Full Moon Circle. If b ..read more

Discussing Crystal Mala Beads Live on TV
Touchstones School : Crystal Therapy
by Lauren D'Silva

Last Friday I did something that would have absolutely terrified me a few short years ago. I went on live TV! It was lovely to be invited by presenter Lynn Jinks onto her Sundar show at Gemporia to talk about crystal mala beads. We were discussing using affirmations with them and using the beads to focus the mind for positive change. I enjoyed the whole experience and I only had a few nervous 'butterflies in my tummy' beforehand. I'd been chatting the previous day with Lynn about mala beads and she asked me if I'd like to come on the show. I'd accepted the opportunity before I'd even had time ..read more

Make a Decision at the Crossroads with the Goddess Hecate
Touchstones School : Crystal Therapy

Spend this Samhain, aka Halloween, in the company of Hecate and Black Moonstone. Hecate was worshipped in Ancient Greece. She may be found as a Triple Goddess, depicted with three faces of Maiden, Mother and Crone; but most often she appears in her wise old crone aspect. At Halloween, when the veil is at its thinnest, Hecate can guide and protect you as she knows how to navigate between the worlds. She is often shown standing at a crossroads carrying her lantern, which is one of her main symbols. Crossroads are regarded as a liminal zone, a place on the edge. When you stand at a crossroads yo ..read more

Understanding Comes from the Heart

I have been on a mini-pilgrimage to see the Mappa Mundi, one of the most famous medieval maps of the world. Handily for me it resides in the Cathedral in Hereford, not so very far from my home in Mid-Wales, so my trip wasn't long or arduous, however it did feel like a sacred journey and it turned out to be a surprisingly emotional experience for me. I've been noticing guidance to visit the map, although I wasn't sure why. I'd fleetingly had a thought about the Mappa Mundi and soon after I heard it being discussed on a BBC podcast about the cardinal directions, then I saw it referenced in a ce ..read more

Rosehip Syrup: Nectar of Aphrodite
Touchstones School : Crystal Therapy
by Lauren D'Silva

I started to make my own rosehip syrup last year from the wild rose in my garden and it's really and easy. I'm renaming it as Nectar of Aphrodite because it tastes divine and this gorgeous goddess is associated with roses. I've just made a batch which should keep me in heavenly deliciousness all the way to next summer. You'll need: Jars or small bottles to store your precious nectar. Sterilise these and their caps just as you would for jam making - they'll need to be hot at the point you bottle the syrup. I put mine through a baby bottle steam steriliser. Something to strain the syrup. I boug ..read more

Isn’t it about time you made peace with your body? Wouldn’t you like to enjoy your food without feeling guilty or trying to keep count of calories or points? How about feeling more confident in your own skin? Sacred Vessel could be key to your healing your relationship with food and your body. I’ve been working on my Sacred Vessel materials over the last three years and my first client was myself! I had been overweight or obese for most of my adult life. It didn’t feel good! Breaking out of your Comfort Zone

Last week I gave an interview for Gemporia at their TV studios in the West Midlands. The thought of making an appearance on TV would have had me running for cover not that many years ago! Guess what? I enjoyed the whole experience and I would love to do more! That day has made me reflect on how far I have come in dismantling the personal barriers I placed in my own way and how much more willing I am to move beyond my comfort zone now. This invite from their lovely presenter Lynn Jinks allowed me to test how far my self-transformation has gone. Back in 2015 I booked a professional photoshoot a ..read more

How to Make Kombucha
Touchstones School : Crystal Therapy
by Lauren D'Silva

I love to drink kombucha and it is so easy and cheap to make at home. It costs a fraction of the price of store bought kombucha. I like the taste and have a glass most mornings. I've been fermenting my own 'booch' for about 4 years now. You need to start with a 'scoby' which stands for a 'symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast' - it sounds really yummy put like that doesn't it? Kombucha is packed with probiotics and I've found it has helped my gut health. Some people call it a 'wonder drink'. I don't make miraculous claims for it, but I do believe it supports my own health as part of a nutrit ..read more
