Let’s talk about the latest in our loaf lineup!  We’ve been focusing on snack variety lately, and this new Apple Cinnamon Loaf is one of our favourite additions. Bursting with real, naturally-sweet apples and the aromatics of cinnamon, it’s a game changer. It also happens to be egg-free and vegan-friendly, so even more kids can dig in without worry!  While perfect as a breakfast bite, this loaf is a great snack at any time of the day. Ramadam started on March 10th this year and will end on April 9th with Eid-al-fitr, or “the feast of breaking the fast.” It marks the final day of dawn-to-dusk fasting for the Muslim community. Eid isn’t just any ordinary day; it’s a magical mosaic of traditions and togetherness and often ends with a feast. In Rabia’s Eid, written by Rukhsana Khan and illustrated by Debby Rahmalia, kids can learn about this tradition!  For the last day of fasting, young Rabia wants to join her family. After her dad tells her she can do a half day, she enjoys some cereal for breakfast before she’s re ..read more

a plant based blast from the past! Guess what’s back? It’s our Moroccan-inspired Garbanzo Bean Tajine! This scrumptious plant-based fave was last seen back in 2021, and we’ve brought it back for a new era of kids to dig into. We love including dishes that are influenced from international cuisines on our menu (it’s part of our Real Food Promise). Plus, it’s fun to say! The garbanzo beans bring protein to the table, and the accompanying seasonings are certified kid-approved while still providing the littles ones with some adventure and new tastes in their diet (hello, raisins?!) We’re pairing t ..read more

This is a table presentation of seven food items that begin with the Persian letter S. The presentation usually includes the following (with variations): Sumac (Somagh – سماق) Vinegar (Serkeh&n ..read more

1, 2, 3… crunch! The Great Big Crunch is a moment on March 7th where we gather and bite into a delicious, crisp apple (but it can be any healthy food! The Coalition is also doing a Great Big MUNCH this year to recognize cultures where apples are less common) as a sign of devotion to real food and real ingredients. Our team participates every year to support the Coalition for Healthy School Food‘s goal of securing nutritious school food for every child in Canada. Unfortunately, in 2024, Canada still remains the only G7 country without an established national school food program, and many kids ..read more
