I took a 'gap year' for 2 years during uni. Is this a sign of something?

I started uni 2022. Saw online gap years for medicine/when you don't know what to do with your life. Decided to do it. Forgot about uni. Only worked part time. Was ready to take another one. Realised wtf am I doing with my life. Now on year 2 :) Instead of talking to people/asking people, I searched up online about medicine admissions. submitted by /u/Putrid-Hat-5893 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Help for a play

(I’m not sure how to tag this) I wanna start off saying I do not have schizophrenia, but I am playing a character in my high school play that has it. I want to make this character as close to how someone with schizophrenia would behave, which would require me to learn more about it. And hopefully I do not offend anyone when asking (I’m not sure where else to go), but is there anything I should stay away from when acting out this character? Or maybe things I should be mindful of? Anything helps and I’m sorry to come here and ask this question, but I would rather get input by people who have th ..read more

Do you think you have superpowers? I feel like mine is communicating with my mind. Another words people hear my thoughts and then reply in reality but I can’t hear their thoughts all the time submitted by /u/Initial-Proof-8338 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Half of my male relatives are on the schizophrenia spectrum, and some of the women too. I could create a support group focused on schizophrenia just from my extended family, lol. submitted by /u/Sea_Cloud_6705 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I don’t hear voices - should I be worried about strong mental voices speaking to me in my imagination?

Luckily I don’t hallucinate much and the hallucinations I do have are all visual. I think it’s probably just my paranoia, but when I’m out in public I’ve been “hearing” this voice in my imagination saying shit like “they’re all staring at you”, and “they know you!” in a creepy voice. I don’t put active thought behind it, but I don’t hallucinate it either. It’s like a vivid intrusive thought. I’m probably just worrying over nothing, but, did these sorts of thoughts ever precede you hallucinating voices? submitted by /u/LogicIsAFacade [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
