Dyslexia affects people in different ways. Some people with dyslexia might have trouble sounding out words when reading, or might have a hard time remembering how to spell a word. They might also have trouble understanding what they’re reading or have trouble with handwriting. Some people with dyslexia might also have trouble with math, or with organizing their thoughts. There are different types of dyslexia, and it affects people to different degrees. Dyslexia isn’t caused by a person being lazy or not trying hard enough; it’s just a different way of learning.
