Psoriasis with Allopurinol.

I’m wondering if anyone is taking this medication for high uric acid and dealing with psoriasis. I’ve been taking it on and off for a few years but my psoriasis also comes and goes every few years. Recently I’ve had to increase the medication and I’m coincidentally also having one of the most severe psoriasis flare ups I’ve ever had too. One of the most common side effects of the medication is ‘a skin rash’ and I’m beginning to wonder if it’s triggering it for me. It’s also highly possible that’s the underlying cause of my flare up is the high uric acid but the medication has been bringing th ..read more

Anyone use Senderra Pharmacy?

Derm prescribed Bimzelx and insurance doesn't cover it. So I am on the "bridge" program where the manufacturer will cover it for 2 years while they convince my insurance to cover me. So I got a call from Senderra Pharmacy.. 2 calls today.. kinda annoying. I'm working I can't call you back. I then googled Senderra and there have to be 20 reviews out of 45 that just trash them. I already had a specialty pharmacy screw up and delay my loading dose of Skyrizi and I think that's why it didn't work for me . Seemed to be until that point. There are others that participate in the program and I'm not ..read more

Can you fully get rid of palmoplantar pustulosis?

Hi, I was diagnosed with PPP last year in December after 3 visits to the clinic where doctors said it was hand, foot and mouth. They never took any blood work or fully explained what it was. They just looked it up and found what looked similar. I am a 20 year old female, so I get that they don't see that everyday. Buuut I'm just not convinced. After the 5th visit they finally sent me to a dermatologist and they said it looks like PPP. The doctor only mentioned ways we could get rid of it it but, I was under the impression that is isn't curable. I had mentioned that nothing out of the blue hap ..read more

Has anyone used Roflumilast for psoriasis?

My derm prescribed oral Roflumilast for me to try for my Guttate psoriasis, I am scared to take the medication because I am recovering from anorexia (several years into recovery, doing really well, but not perfect) The main side effects are abdominal cramping, diarrhea and weight loss. If anyone has taken this medication, how were the side effects? Did the medication work? Was it worth it? My dermatologist said that he has seen this work quite well for patients in a short amount of time. submitted by /u/420sealions [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I have severe psoriasis, I’ve been on taltz for about a year now, and it’s worked wonders, I rarely have a flare up anywhere now. But I have never been able to get rid of the scalp psoriasis no matter what I try or do. Do any of you have anything that works for you? Or do I just give up on ever getting an actual hair cut again lol submitted by /u/Genericoolname321 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Could muscle growth cause flare ups?

Hey Everyone! My P has been fairly dormant ever since I started working a more active focused job, and leaning off of steroid creams. However over the past couple of month, I've started weightlifting and have noticed some muscle mass increasing, but also I'm starting to flare up pretty intensely. Is this because a muscle growing, in itself is inflammation? I'm wondering if that could be the cause, or if it could be due to the season change causing my skin to go bonkers. submitted by /u/Primex76 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Does anyone get sunburns like this

I’m newly diagnosed so please forgive me if this is common knowledge but for the last few years my family and I have gone RVing and swimming weekends and every summer I get this weird splotchy sunburn even when I apply early and let it dry and reapply. I’ve tried different brands (mostly spray on but not all) I use these same brands on my kids and they don’t have this issue. I’ve thought maybe it was I was just spraying it unevenly so I had other people spray me and it still happened. Anyone know what gives? submitted by /u/Brilliantghost182 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
