Hi! Thank you for stopping by! I haven’t updated my blog since December of 2018! That’s when we had our pop up shop in NYC and now fast forward to May 2020, where we’ve been sheltering in place since March 15th due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I just started re-reading Show Your Work by Austin Kleon and it made me want to post something, anything, in my tiny, little corner of the internet. So thank you for stopping by and checking out my little blog! It was Naomi Campbell‘s 50th birthday this past Friday. I don’t understand how she’s 50 year old! Super model and super human. So in honor of Naomi ..read more

We really need to get the online store ready but honestly it just wasn’t in my bandwidth to get the site up and running while working on the trunk show at the same time. But in the meantime, here’s a preview of what’s to come! My sister, Kristen took this photo as she’s a one woman assembly line right now. Sorry, our cards won’t come with this black grosgrain ribbon tied in a bow (because we would end up hating each other for thinking of this idea for production) but you can recreate this for your super stylish friend, family or co-worker. Leaving for NYC tomorrow and so excited for the trunk ..read more

Postpartum Party

This is me, nursing my sweet little baby girl, Nina. My oily hair is always in a top knot and I’m perpetually in my milk stained nursing dress that I wear all day, everyday. That’s why I love to create my fantastical fashion illustrations because for that one moment in time, I get to daydream and imagine in flounces, ruffles, florals and sparkles. It took me forever to work on one illustration because I’m a human cow for now. Stealing little minutes a day to illustrate means a few pencil marks here and a few brush strokes there in between nursing, pumping, napping, eating, hand washing poop fr ..read more

PREGNANCY is a time to let my skin glow, hair shine and think encouraging, positive thoughts. Since this is my 3rd pregnancy and I really don’t care what people think, here’s what PREGNANCY stands for me lately : P is for Pissed Off that I keep peeing when I sneeze. It takes every ounce of muscle strength in my nether regions to stop the urine flow. Thank goodness for panty liners. R is for the Ridiculous expectations I have of myself. I recognize they are utterly and truly ridiculous expectations and yet, I still get angry that I haven’t done what I set out to do for the day, week, month, yea ..read more

Derby Dreams

If I ever have the opportunity to go to the Kentucky Derby, the only way I can imagine experiencing the Derby is through Inspirato. Why? Because every aspect of the festive event will be curated by their team of experts. But the part that makes me want to add this Inspirato experience to my bucket list? I’d receive a custom hat designed by CFDA member, Gigi Burris! My husband won’t feel left out because he’d receive a custom bow tie by CFDA member Timo Weiland and Richard Tao. I’m imagining a colorful and crisp, Southern prep style bow tie for my hubby. For myself, I’m envisioning a hat ..read more

Wow Wow Wowza! So honored and excited to be featured as one of six up and coming fashion illustrators to follow on IG! Thank you so much clozette.co! Found out a week ago, but every time I read this article I want to dance and cry it out! I’m just really emotional like that. This illustration was inspired by one of my favorite emojis. I’m twinning with my sister in Valentino because that’s what we used to do when we were younger. Even though my sister is two years younger than me, we’d make sure to coordinate and wear matching polka dot outfits in elementary school. We looked freaking adorable ..read more

Hi there. I haven’t been as active on my site as I’d originally planned. So starting tonight, I’m going to try to post at least once a week. I’ve been too busy posting nearly every day on my Instagram account. And by the way, I LOVE Instagram! Thank you to all my supporters! From the bottom of my heart – every follow, like and comment means the world to me! I didn’t realize how exposed or insecure I’d feel every time I post an illustration out into the social media universe. I wasn’t sure if people would like my illustrations or even take the time to leave a comment or even start to follow my ..read more

Golden Illustrious Icons
The Illustrienne

I’m trying something new with the illustrious icons.  These woman crush wednesday illustrations are done in pencil and then I highlight around the face with a cluster of metallic gold hearts or stars. It’s quite meditative when I’m drawing the hearts or stars and it can be quite soothing. During this “golden zen” part of the illustration, I can reflect on their courageous hearts and how they make me want to be a better human being. These pencil drawings are a nice break from the markers and it actually breaks up my IG feed a bit with a calming dash of gold.  Poorna Malavath, Lizzie V ..read more
