Hide the fire extinguishers, keep them as far away from me as possible, because I am absolutely ablaze at the cash tables.  In the last two days I have seen the highest monetary earnings thus far since I made the transition to cash games.  $146 in earnings in the last 2221 hands.  If we look back since I broke a downswing and it broke on January 5th, since then and including the 5th, I had one losing day, one break even day, I took 2 days off, and played a total of 8 days and in that time, the last 8 sessions I show earnings of $213 covering 13331 hands in a mix of $10NL and $20NL, $164 of tho ..read more

I entered today's play with a bankroll of just over $575 giving me another $25 needed to step up for a 5 buyin stop loss run at $20NL.  I got started a little after 2 p.m. today if you notice that's a little earlier than my usual 4 p.m. start and there is a reason behind that which I will get to shortly.  As I hopped on the 4 tables of $10NL I had that $25 that I needed in just a little over an hour which brought up a temporary dilemma.  Should I abandon the $10NL tables and go to $20NL considering I now had the bankroll that I said I needed and wanted to do just that, or because I was running ..read more

I was hoping that tonight's session which ended a little after 2a.m. was going to be the beginnings of me coming out of this damn downswing.  Things started off by two opponents going runner runner full house on me within the first few hundred hands or so and I was down another 2.6 buyins which brought the downswing at that point to 8300 hands and down 10 buyins, a full $100.  Things started getting better, I started scratching and climbing and was up 2 full buyins when I got slammed pretty hard and took a 3 buyin downward spiral in just a few hands.  I seemed to hover down about $10 and then ..read more

I am currently experiencing a downswing.  Dating back to December 29th including yesterday's play in which I took a $34 loss in just under 2700 hands played during a 13 hour online grind, and was down as large as 6.5 buyins at one point, but patience on one particular table where I knew eventually me ans a specific player wouls tangle and based on the numerous notes that I have on him I knew he personally would help me recoup some of it and it finally did happen.  I saw this player lose over 5 buyins he had on table in the space of 10 minutes in which over two of those went to me helped  recou ..read more

2016 started off as a struggle to say the least.  Almost from the very beginning of the session things seem to go bad and get moderately worse to the tune of over 5 buyins down, I believe the worst was down $52 after about 800 hands.  At first I seemed to yoyo going down 2 buyins and then recouping that to be at break even status just to go down 2 buyins again and that increased to a 5 buyin defecit.  It's the third time I've been down 5 buyins in a session and this time the main cause was getting two outted  and having somebody flop set over set on me at least a total of 5 or 6 times.  In tho ..read more

I ran into a situation that made me realize that, at times, mixing stakes is a must do whether I like it or not.  It's either that or not play or get my volume cut in half.  Being WSOP is a Nevada only site the majority of the cash players are playing the first two levels, $2NL and $10NL.  Once you hit $20NL as I have now the amount of tables is definitely reduced.  $20NL for many hours throughout the day only has 2 tables going.  The same can be said for $50NL and for $100NL it's a single table.  During the late afternoon and evening hours it can improve, but not always so in order to maintai ..read more
