Don't judge. I am a big QVC watcher and have some bargain and pretty high-end products (Dyson and Bose) purchased from the channel. They have apparently had programming all day focused on the 50+ age demographic. The Sphere was just shown on TV with QVC all over it. I can't believe I am missing this! Not joking. I can't tell the hotel from where they are filming. Anyone know ..read more

Sitting here the eve before packing up for some more train fun. Now this isn’t the cash express train. This one’s the Amtrak train to whitefish Montana. Every year at Christmas time I give each one of the kids a trip with dad. The oldest did Vegas and Phoenix earlier this month. The youngest wants to go to glacier national Park. So tomorrow afternoon, we’re catching the eastbound train to Chicago but will be getting off earlier than that. Should be an interesting trip. I think it might be a... We just got back this week from a week in Vegas. First time in many years. My wife has 40 years at her company and they gave us an all expenses paid week at Palazzo. Even gave us $6k cash. I played a lot of VP at the Luca Bar at the $1 level and had no issues getting drinks at all. Every now and again the machine spit out a drink ticket I just kept putting them in the cup and when we needed a drink the bartender took a couple. We played mostly at South Point as they seem to still... A week at the Palazzo ..read more

Has this been tried for vp/slot machines?

I saw a dispute today over a machine that Person A had "saved" as she got up to go do something else. Person B wanted to play it and it had been 15 minutes or so. Person B wanted the machine said Person A had been gone long enough. Person A said that she was "supposed to have" the machine reserved for 20 minutes if she tilted her chair up against it. Is there any reason why a machine can't be enabled with a function that allows you to lock it for a certain length of time? For example,... Has this been tried for vp/slot machines ..read more

Tall Stacks of Casino Chips: How High Will They Allow Them?

I often come across videos on social media of people placing conspicuously large bets... in the sense that they'll stack several dozen smaller denomination chips (e.g., forty $5 chips for a $200 bet) instead of just doing eight $25 chips or two $100 chips. If it's just "for the video", I get it... and admittedly I can say I have gotten a kick out of betting a large stack of reds just for the visual of it all. I saw an especially ridiculous one earlier today where the stack had to be at... Tall Stacks of Casino Chips: How High Will They Allow Them ..read more

As a side note, I'm curious about the reasons for people to get a LOC. Does it streamline the process of coloring in for table play? Eliminate the hassle of carrying around cash? And speaking of, what's the minimum amount of bankroll that would make sense for obtaining a LOC ..read more
