Black Tap

Black Tap at The Venetian NYC’s successful craft burgers and beer joint has expended it’s reach to Las Vegas. Housed in the space left by the closure of Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich’s B&B Burger & Beer, Black Tap brings with it a reputation for awesome burgers, CrazyShake milkshakes, and craft beer. We recently stopped by for lunch to see if it was Top10 worthy. The first thing we noticed about Black Tap is the very bold décor. Lots of neon mixed with bold, black and white designs and urban artwork give the space a slightly trippy, nightclub-ish feel. The second thing we noticed w ..read more

The Signature at MGM Grand consists of three apartment style towers located behind MGM Grand, next to the Topgolf entertainment venue. The hotel positions itself as a relaxing option for travelers that would like a respite from the hustle and bustle of the larger hotels on the Strip, while remaining within walking distance of the action. Tower 1 is closest to the MGM Grand and features a Starbucks and a cocktail lounge. One thing we love is that, in addition to having full access to all MGM amenities, all the towers have their own private pool areas. Whilst guests at The Signature do have acce ..read more

Kitchen area at Buddy V’s Buddy V’s Ristorante at The Venetian serves up homemade the Italian-American comfort food that TLC’s “Cake Boss” star, Buddy Valastro, is famous for. Located far from restaurant row, Buddy V’s can be a little hard to find, but it’s well worth seeking out. The restaurant itself is large and airy with an open kitchen and nice views of the northern end of the Strip. The atmosphere is welcoming and seating is well spaced out. We have visited several times, mostly during the early afternoon for lunch. Here’s a look at some of the food we have enjoyed. Oreccheitte and It ..read more

Located at the Rio All Suites hotel, El Burro Borracho serves up a wide range of Mexican dishes with that special flavortown punch that Guy Fieri is renown for. It’s a large and colorful restaurant that offers a wide range of seating and views of the pool area. The price point is a little higher than we would like for an off-strip property (who started the trend of paying for chips and salsa?) but the portions are generous so it’s not all bad news. We last visited during restaurant week and took advantage of a timely dinner deal. We arrived at around 5pm and there was no wait. By the time we ..read more

Las Vegas restaurant week is back. Running June 18th 2018 through June 29th 2018 it’s time to “help out by dining out” at some of the best restaurants in town. Over 150 restaurants are participating offering exclusive prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus. The best part of restaurant week is that a portion of the proceeds from each meal is donated to Three Square food bank. We decided to kick things off with a casual lunch at Yardbird Southern Table and Bar. We went with a simple starter salad, the chicken sandwich and a turtle pecan brownie for dessert. As usual, the food and atmosphere was wonder ..read more
