I’m siting on top of a mountain, that took over half a decade to climb, and I find myself asking “now what do I do?”. I’ve made it to the top, I’ve accomplished the goal and the view is amazing, so the only thing left to do is reflect on the climb. It was in that moment, I realized that 30 is not too far away and it’s time to share some things I learned in my early 20’s. 1. You are enough. Period. You are STRONG enough. You are BRAVE enough ..read more

If you told me a year ago that I would be where I am today, I would have never believed you.
It was like I woke up one day and everything was different.
I was different.
The scariest thing I’ve ever done was walk in the direction of my purpose, but the craziest part is everything fell into place.
This change didn’t happen overnight; instead this was the culmination of every choice I made to get to this point.
I had to let go of what c ..read more

Outfit Details: Figleaves Pajama Set |
I’ve been thinking a lot about comfort zones. The one thing I know for sure is that I’m safest in my comfort zone, but I’ve noticed that’s not where I like to live my life.
Don’t get me wrong I’m a total planner and I love a good schedule, but I’ve learned to allow room for the unexpected and embrace it. Which isn’t always easy.
I don’t know if I’ve ever felt ready for anything I’ve done, but the truth is I already had the tools to succeed. I just needed to believe in me enough to use them and go after my goals.
I’ve always found the most success when ..read more

My last post was 13 months ago.
Over that time, I’ve had to let go of what couldn’t help me grow and by doing so it allowed me to stand firm in who I am and who I’m becoming.
I was weighed down by what felt like everything in my life. So much so, I had become numb to the constant surprise obstacles that seemed to push me further behind. I had lost sight of my goals and had to realign with what made me, me.
I now realize: my struggle gave me strength. My kindness often got me burned, but built me. The hustle inspired me and the grind grounded me.
I’ve never felt more “me” in my life ..read more

Color Block Sweater | Dark Indigo Jeans| Booties (similar here and here)| Wendy Nichol Clutch (similar here)|
It’s starting to get a little colder on my side of the world and I must say Los Angeles it’s about time. I know that the east coast peeps laugh when we LA natives talk about the cold but give us a break. We can’t help that as soon as the weather drops below 69 degrees winter has arrived.
I’ve pulled out the blankets, the heaters are ready to go, the candles are on standby and the sweaters have been shipped using prime!
I’m always cold, so give me a comfy and chic sweater in t ..read more

Look 1: Frill Sleeve Print Maxi Dresses
My mom and I have always been incredibly close.
Growing up with a single parent who worked full-time, I was fortunate enough to learn what a real superhero looked like. She managed to fill the role of two parents, create the most enchanting childhood, and was always there for my brother and me.
My mom has the kindest heart and shows so much love for everyone she meets and if I can be a quarter of the woman she is I’ll feel like I’ve done some good.
She’s taught me everything I know, granted it may of taken a ..read more

ON SALE: A New Day Blazer and Pants| Steven by Steve Madden Heels (similar here and here)| Tassel Earrings
On a brother-sister trip to Target, I had one thing on my mind and this fabulous floral pantsuit was not it.
As I was minding my own business, making my way to the cat aisle, my brother stops the cart and says “Syd, look at this.” Now mind you, on the inside I’m saying “don’t do it. Don’t turn around. Just stick to your list.”
I turned around and the rest was history.
So, we can blame or thank my brother for this fabulous floral explosion. But, when somethin ..read more

As soon as I get home, I always jump straight into my pjs. What can I say: nothing beats being comfortable. Plus, the only thing that makes binge watching Gossip Girl and Grey’s Anatomy more amazing is wearing a fabulous pair of pj’s.
One of my favorites from the current Long Tall Sally sleepwear collection is the classic Shoreditch pajama set. Every girl should have this set ready to throw on at a cuddles notice.

Top: CURATDxLTS sweater| CURATDxLTS shorts| Boots: similar here, and here| Bag: Vintage Chanel
When Long Tall Sally asked me to participate in the #CURATDBY campaign I was beyond excited to represent Los Angeles!
Los Angeles is known for sunshine 365, but as a native, I know that at the heart of LA it’s about glamour and not being afraid to make YOUR statement.
When I was styling this CURATD x LTS outfit I was automatically thinking “what’s the exclamation point from the collection?” I landed on the fabulous Color Block Sweater. It’s everything! Not only is it classic, but ..read more
