White spots after first day of braces?
Reddit - Braces

I got my braces on today and everything went surprisingly super well! Later in the night when I was brushing it I noticed I suddenly had white spots on bottom of my front teeth. They’re not noticeable in pictures and are more noticeable in certain angles than others. I know that there’s a possibility of getting white spots with braces, but on the first day? I do usually use a whitening toothpaste. My oral hygiene is usually pretty good. Anyone have any similar experiences or thoughts? I do also have filler on the bottom of my front teeth so I’m not sure if that could be a reason. submitted b ..read more

so i got my braces off abt. 6 months ago and have been very good with my retainer. always wore it except when eating, and whenever it was off it was in it's case. and the oerthodontist loved how good i was with everything throughout the whole braces treatment, saying i'm "one of the best he's ever had and should be a role model for his patients". so my retainer is one of the ones with the clear red plastic and the wire, but it's not quite exactly like any others ive seen online. it has the red plastic with one wire at the front and that's it. none of the other wires that go torwards the back ..read more

Accidentally bought Medium bands instead of light bands

Does it really matter? Because I had an extraction and got my pre molars removed and now I’m just trying to close the gap. Should it be ok or should I get light bands? And I know I should have asked my orthodontist but they always take forever to response so… ?‍♂️ submitted by /u/Odd-Factor-941 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I removed my braces yesterday and for god knows a no brainer choice came outta my mouth when my ortho asked which retainer do i want,i said removable plastic retainer that one that looks like Invisalign … and i received that retainer today and i just couldn’t accept it all, I hate it, it was the worst experience ever from not being able to close my mouth fully without looking like i had an open-bite to the idea of not being able to drink or eat whenever i want without being bothered of taking it out and back on as fast as possible so after spending much money on that experience.. …I booked an ..read more

Would it be acceptable to ask to change brackets..

I got my braces today and I chose clear brackets and I don't think I like them very much.. I can see them getting stained quickly and I honestly I wanted metal braces from the get-go.. I was thrown off because I didn't even know clear was an option when I went in figuring I'd get blue or pink metal braces. Very dumb thinking I know.. I hate making on the spot decisions :-( Reading on here how clear brackets are bigger and bulkier too.. I'm a fool submitted by /u/GH05T135 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Braces and TADs to move second and third molar or implants?

Hello! I'm 24 y.o and I recently lost my upper first molar due to root resorption. I'll be using braces again and my dentist said we could try to close the space using the second and third molar, which are in a great shape. I've a few questions about it and I want to hear some other opinions: I'm not really happy using braces again at this age and I'm worried how long it would take. The space is almost 1,5cm, while using TADs, how long would it take? If it does not work well, what could happen? Replacing a huge first molar with a not so big second molar a good idea? Will there be any problem ..read more
