In this week's video, I discuss the importance of visual tension when composing a photograph. Unlike some aspects of photography that become second-nature, visual tension is something I actively consider with nearly every composition. How to Spot Meter Slide Film with a Sekonic Light Meter for Landscape Photography
Ben Horne

I'm often asked about my metering technique for working with slide film with a Sekonic light meter, so I decided to make this video to show my simple process. I use a Sekonic L-758DR light meter, and the pop-up gray card is made by Manfrotto. This particular Sekonic light meter is discontinued, but past and current versions will have a similar workflow. If you enjoy this Ad-Free and clickbait-free content, help me follow my dream with a voluntary contribution. View Catcher by The Color Wheel Company: Buy on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3AGaCzb One thing I forgot to mention in the video, this framing device is best used for lenses roughly 28mm and longer. If you want something for a wider lens, it would need to have a physically larger opening. In any case, I find it to be incredibly useful.
