In 2022 the Prostate Cancer Foundation of NZ commissioned the New Zealand Institute of Economic Research (NZIER) to provide a report detailing the impact on the New Zealand economy, and to individual men, of a late diagnosis of prostate cancer. When Ross Burrows joined a fitness class for men with prostate cancer, the last thing he expected was a surprise reunion with an old friend. Diagnosed in 2015, Ross was initially unconcerned.
